Course Curriculum Overview

3

The field of Statistics attracted me because of its versatility and application across various sectors. The curriculum is well structured, but with the introduction of NEP, subjects under AEC, GE, SEC does not provide any value addition, these subjects often feel irrelevant to the core subjects and adds unnecessary burden as they don't contribute much to practical knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

5

Students are eligible to sit for internships from their first year of college. Various companies like Accenture, DE Shaw, Amazon, Acclime, Zomato, etc visit for internship opportunities with a chance to convert into PPO. Various companies offer various roles for students to apply. If you wanna go into sales, product management, HR, Data science there's opportunities for everyone.

Placement Experience

5

I didn't sit for placements in my college since I'm planning to pursue masters. However, various number of companies visit for campus placements including Accenture, DE Shaw, WTW, etc. Students in their final year are eligible to sit for these placements. The highest placement offered till now was 23 LPA and average placement ranges between 7-9 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Admission to Kirori Mal College is through CUET with a registration fee of approximately INR 1500. The annual fee for Bsc(Hons) Statistics is approximately INR 13,000 which includes tuition fee and admission fees. Additionally, the exam form fee which includes the lab fee, practicals and other charges is INR 1900-2000 per semester.

Campus Life

5

Campus life in KMC is very lively. There are a number of societies like Enactus, The Round Table, 180 Degree consulting, Bhoomi, NSS, NCC, dance, music, drama and many more. These societies are very active and some or the other event is always happening around the campus. The annual fest Renaissance held in the month of April is the much awaited event throughout the year.

Hostel Facilities

5

I am a day scholar but I've friends who took up PGs in Kamla Nagar. The average rent is around 20K which include 3 meals. The electricity bill is generally not included and washing machine facility is also provided. The menu of the week is fixed and shared beforehand and the quality of meals is satisfactory.

Admission

I applied to a number of colleges of DU. I got rejected from Hindu and LSR since I couldn't clear the cutoff for general category. However, I chose KMC over Hansraj, Ramjas and other colleges due to its interactive college life, good placements, and supportive and highly qualified faculty.

Faculty

5

The faculty at KMC are not only highly qualified but also have a wide wealth of experience ranging from 5-30 years. They're very approachable and supportive, always ready to assist students with both academic as well as personal challenges. The internal examinations include about 60% of the syllabus which is quite manageable and easy to pass. The end sem exams are pretty straightforward, and can be cleared without much difficulty.

Interview Experience

5

Admission to KMC is solely through CUET (Common University Entrance Test). There are no GD or Interviews conducted. The entrance test is not very difficult and can be prepared while studying for class 12th exams.

Night Life

5

The college usually closes at 6 but there are various cafes in Kamla Nagar and Hudson Lane where students can go after a long tiring day. College gym is open for students and hostellers even after college hours. There are various other gyms in Kamla Nagar as well which attract young crowd. If you're in North campus you cannot miss Sudama Chai and Tom Uncle Maggi point.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the BSc Statistics (H) offered by Sri Venkateshwara College has been quite relevant and comprehensive in content. The core courses such as probability, inference, regression, and econometrics were the major reasons for opting for the subject of statistics. It provides us in-depth analytical training that is necessary for higher education and work in the field of data, though there is a need for exposure to software/tools as well. The semester-wise examination, which is moderately tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. Practical components help in developing and understanding concepts more clearly. However, real world applications is limited. Curriculum prepare students well for further academics for PG or other competitive exams. Exam system is conducted at regular intervals with Internal assessment and semester end. Timings are appropriate . Difficulty level is moderate to high.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics at Hindu College, the curriculum follows the latest DU UGCF?2022 structure, so it covers both strong theory and some modern applications. The main reason to choose this course is the depth in core areas like Calculus, Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability, which builds a very solid base for higher studies like M.Sc, data science or research. There are six semesters with continuous internal assessment plus end?semester exams, so students study regularly instead of only before finals. Exams are usually moderate to difficult because questions are concept?based, but the pattern is fair and gives weightage to assignments, tutorials and attendance. Overall, the course is quite comprehensive and relevant for careers in teaching, analytics, government exams and higher academics, though adding more practical projects, programming and real?life modelling could make it even more industry?oriented
