Likes

I like the location of my college, especially the North campus.
I like the ambience and infrastructure of my college, it's one of the heritage building of Delhi University.
I like the course curriculum and its actually a broad way to give us wide knowledge.

Dislikes

College administration has to focus on security measures.
It has to focus on sanitation facilities.
College has to work for the accessibility of cleaning the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our course curriculum is very good and engaging for the students. The complete study of political theory and political thought with indian and western politics, gives us overall knowledge of different areas of political science. Exams have taken place after every 5-6 months and they are quite easy to get pass.

Class Size: 96Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I am currently pursuing my internship with IQAC. I am heading that committee of my department Political Science. We are working together with 1st and 2nd years and this seems best experience when we can work for such a big organisation.

Placement Experience

In the 4th semester, a student seem to be eligible for campus placement, based on their merits and skills. Many of the companies, such as Reliance and Tata have visited and selected the best candidates.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the ug course of BA Political Science Hons, I have to pay 13k to 15k approximately per year and for the unreserved students, around 15k to 16k, they have to pay. For STs, fees ranges almost same as mine ( SCs )

Campus Life

Campus Life is always fascinating one for every person who pursue college. Although I have been one of them. I am currently working as event management and logistics head of my own departmental society La Politique.

Admission

I had given cuet ug exam to get admission in college of DU. I had given my preference - Hindu College and Kirori Mal College. I was not rejected by any college but my merit selected the college for me. The admission process is very easy and digitalised.

Faculty

Our department has much qualified teachers than any other political science department of the different college. All of our faculties have completed their PHDs and one of our faculty has completed her Post Doctoral.

Night Life

College consists a good gym, two cafetarias and two grounds for students to enjoy sports activities in free time. Famous hangout spots are kamla nagar market and majnu ka tila, which are quite nearby our college.

There is a placement cell in Hansraj College which does provides placements of highest package around 25 lakh of last year and being median package around 7 lakhs, but this for selective courses like economics and BCom Honours and computer science Honours & few of mathematics honours while rest of the courses required to have different kind of skill sets can also go for placement depending up on the role that the companies bring to be hired for

DTU is Totally Worth Spending Time At!

Placement Experience:

Campus placements have been good from what I have noticed this year. BBA and BAE students get almost the same packages and same companies hire the students. Average package for BAE students is 5.5 Lakhs and for BBA it's a little high at 6 lakhs or so.

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.

Tale of a First Year

Placement Experience:

The college Offers campus placements which are mostly in the private sector. Students are eligible for Campus Placements after Completing the 4th semester or we say on completion second year. Many companies are brought on board By the placement cell of the college. In this list also Mkinsey, EY, KPMG, Which are some of the prominent rulers of their industries. The median package offered to UG was 6 lakhs per annum, Top 9 students were offered a median salary of 9,00,000 per annum. Around 490 were placed From campus placements of the college out of 1300 students eligible For the placements, These are only approximate figures and not exact. The highest package offered from the college is around 14,00,000 per annum. Talking about my plans after getting the degree is going for highest studies, Either Masters in economics or MBA in business economics.

KM COLLEGE - FILLED WITH COMPLAINTS ?

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

My journey at Kirori Mal college

Placement Experience:

I would say the placement opportunities are more available for science , commerce background students in the college there are rarely any placement opportunities for humanities background students . Mostly students starts engaging in placement in the fifth semester .severky companies visited campus every year including Deloitte , EY.TCS etc . Around 40 - 50 percent students from professional courses get the placement annually .even for the students not opting for placement the exposure n the strong alumni network of college help them secure good opportunities outside campus

MY COLLEGE LIFE

Main exam was CUET. We should crack it with high marks... More than 98 percentile to get into the prestigious north campus of Delhi University. My college KMC comes under north campus and I'm really happy. I chose this college because it is one of the best for my course. It ranked 3rd in whole india for political science. I wanted it admission process is easy. After cuet results are published u have to fill csas portal. And you can see your rank and college allotted in the first round. The. Document verification. I chose Kmc because of its faculty of history and it's alumnis.The faculty of history is one of the best in du, that's why I chose KMC. I also applied for colleges like Hindu College,and also at B.H.U ,but I got confirmed admission in Hindu College in Sanskrit honours course and I wanted to pursue history so I chose KMC, and I also got admission in B.H.U history,but the faculty of du and particularly KMC history is better ,so I chose KMC. KMC is quite well than hindu College and B.H.U in terms of its alumini and crowd . KMC is also better in sports and ncc than other colleges.
