The best college of Petroleum Engineering in Gujarat.

A good college for petroleum Engineering but other branches don't have that much good ranking in India as per placement is concerned. If you are research fellow you are at right place bwcause it gives very good opportunities for researchers in all cases. For startups it provides good funding and motivation. Overall it is a excellent college. Mess food is not tasty but as per quality it is very good and healthy.

One of the best curriculum. Semester system. As it is a deemed university it follows its own pattern for exam and course curriculum. For our batch it is following Oklahoma University's Course. Two exams per semester, Mid and End Semester. Exams conducted under the camera surveillance.

PDPU is known for placement of Petroleum Engineering students in Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). It offers package of around 20 LPA to Petroleum Engineers and gives placement to people around 20. For our field, ONGC provides the internships. Mostly our college and companies don't give stipends except some companies like Relience CBM. It is compulsory to serve in one rural internship and a Industrial Internship of 42 days (6 weeks). This internships are privided by College to most of students but the college also gives LOR for other internships if you want to.

PDPU is the organiser of biggest Sports fest of Gujarat. Around 230 universities took part in this event. Flare is the cultural fest of PDPU organised per year in the month of April. Tesseract is the science and technical fest of PDPU. Many participents came for this events from different universities. Half of the year college is decorated due to this fests. Other festivals like garba, holi,makar sankaranti etc are also celebrated with great enthusiasm.

It is very expensive. It coat around 16 lakhs to become an engineer from PDPU including food and logistics. But against this much high fees it also provides green and clean campus, free wifi, 25 lakhs of support to startups, if you start one.Tution fees is paid per semester and hostel and food fees is paid annually.

For the first 5 rankers in the college, 100% tuition fees is waived by college. ACPC rankers of gujarat also have good scholarship. College also provide funding for projects like research in any field upto 80000 INR.

PDPU has fantastic sports grounds. It has football ? ground, basketball ???? court, tennis, table tennis, volleyball ????, cricket and all famous outdoor and indoor games. PDPU consist of world class labs in case of petroleum Engineering and other branches also have wonderful labs. Some of the lab assistants are not quite good but they are like average students due to lack of qualification.

Hostel are quite expensive here. It has two sharing rooms with air conditioning and high speed Internet facility. Electricity bills to be paid on your own to the amenities. 5000 extra should be paid for AC per year. Hostel have high class infrastructure and good drinking water and gym, playing courts etc.

Recently PDPU has started its own alumni connect platform for PDPU only. Alumni meets are conducted on annual basis. We have good alumi network which guide us in quite good manner. The pattern of ragging is not followed here, not on minute scale so here the seniors are like big brothers. Yes, they are helpful.

After JEE Mains, you have to fill the form of college After that you will get mails regarding the screening process On screening date you have to visit college. You will be sorted according to your mains rank on the spot. If you will got good rank in particular college mert list, you will be selected for your branch preference and rank for particular branch of engineering.

All the teachers are post graduates. Some research fellows at PDPU also teach you their research related topics. 10% of course are completed by industry experts... They have nice teaching pattern. They are always ready to help students and take their classes regularly other than some exceptions.
