- The whole campus has wifi avaliable, they've got atm too.
Dislikes
- there are quite a few restrictions like no roaming allowed after 9:30pm.
- mess food is not so good, its managable but sometimes it feels miserable
- for every small thing to be done, lots of paperwork is required whether you need to go outside the campus or needs a NOC
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is mostly thoery based, so if a student wants to be industry readt, they have to put extra effort on their own, teachers are generally available in staff rooms whenever needed, which is helpful but the teaching methods needs improvment and should be more towards hands on learning. we've usually 3 types of exams, the weekly, the midsem and the endsem, difficulty lies from east to moderate.
Internships Opportunities
university does provide internship, but top ones are only limited to top students after heavy filtering based upon cgpa and performance during impact traning, we've a project in 6th sem and 7th sem and they would give you a mentor for it, the in campus internships are avaliable but ehy usually take too much work from you and not the actuall stuff that would be usuful for industry
Placement Experience
in my unversity, proper placements usually start from 7th sem, however after 4th sem, the collage provides the opputunity to go for impact traning if youve got more than 60% in your 10th, 12th and throughtout the semesters from that traning top permorning student get a chance to sit for product-based companies. as of now (jan 2026), the highest placement recorded is 60lpa at microsoft, the average is aroudn 3.5 lps to 6 lpa, most of the recruiting companies are service based such as capgemini, infosys, tcs etc. around 200-250 students gets palce after heavy filtering, i plan to go for higher studies,
Fees and Financial Aid
I took admission in Parul University for B.tech CSE in 2023, since then the yearly fees is 137800 for me, they increase the collage fees every year but it would be locked in once you take admission, this fees includes everything from exam fees to lab fees to everything, there is not any seperate charges for admission, however if you're planning to take admission via the managment quota you need to pay 10000 rs in start but later it would be adjusted in the fees. if you're a sc/st studnet you'll get 48000 scholarship from government. if you're son or daughter of army personnel you'll get 30% off on your yearly fees.
Campus Life
Overall experince of the collage is decent, they've got decent placments, they've everything from entertainment to resouces like libraries and reading rooms to hospital, every classroom has projectors and plugs for laptops.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are good, living wise. we've wifi, which is unlimited but they do turn it off during night time from 12 to 5 am, the average price of the hostel for a year is around 1 lakh, the meal is not good, im being honest but its managable, the collage is so far away from the city so there is nothing to do outside, no matter what incampus hostel you choose, you would get a chair, same mess food for every hostel, a bed, a table thats it.
Admission
i choose this course becasue CSE and Ai are currently high in demand, overall the collage is decent mainly becasue of the diverse crowd, students from almost every state study here, the collage events and fests are alo pretty good. previously i also tried applying in top collages like nirma but cutoff were too high for general catagory. the admission process is quite easy either you come through acpc, jee or managment, it doesnt matter, the fees is same.
Faculty
the quality of facult improves as semester goes on, some proffessors are genuinely good and very knowledgable, while few just come to class to scroll through PPTs. The collage has third-party trainers who are usually food and more practical, right now the course os mostly thory based. Semestet exams are easy to moderate in difficulty, and most questions are repeated. around 90% of students pass.
Interview Experience
No, the admission process is quite straight forward, you can take admission from acpc, managment quota etc, there is not any Groud discussion, interview or anything like that, if you're a internation student then the process is even more easy
Night Life
Nightlife in my university is no so good, they've got a lot of restrctions on students, after 9:30 pm, you cannot roam in the campus, most student live in hostel and they close the gates, only in events like navratri and christmas they allow to roam students in campus, famous places are capitol, utopia, tea point etc, they do allow students to go outside for a perticular timing, for boys its 6:30 pm to 7:30pm for girls its 1 hour before, no restrictions on international stufents by the way, gym is seperate and you would've to pay for it around 8-10k yearly
