Likes

College campus ,neat and clean environment, friendly students, excellent teaching faculty members,etc.The things which I liked in the college are Ashoka lawn, Library lawn , sports ground,college canteen and hostel .
Good nirf ranking. One of the best college for humanities courses in India . It hols nirf ranking 1 in Ba prog ( political science).
Ac service in classrooms. Scientific labs and equipments . Gymnasium and hostel ground.

Dislikes

Ac services are not in all classrooms. Short campus area.
Not big campus area. Girls hostel not available. It is a big concern.

Course Curriculum Overview

I want to do civil services preparation that's why I chose the BA program. This course gives me insight and knowledge about all those subjects which are needed further. My classes start at 9:40 a.m. and end at 2-3 p.m. Overall, there is no need for improvement in teaching. All the teachers are good and helpful.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 15120 per year

Internships Opportunities

Different companies visited our college for internship. For Ba program students, there are less chances for internship opportunities. For other skillful courses , there are good internship opportunities. Infosys is one of the company that visited our college for internship opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got admission through the PMSSS scheme so that I don't have to pay my admission fee. The government pays for that. 15120 is the course fee. While our college is a government college that's why fees are lower. National Scholarship Portal and other financial scholarships are also available in our college.

Campus Life

Renaissance, our annual college fest held in March every year.A well designed library available in our college. All types of books are available there. Ac services are available there . Extra curricular activities are also held in our college like National cadet corps.

Admission

Cut off for Ba program is 710+ out of 800 for general category students. For reservation students, it is less 20-40 marks. Semester exams are conducted every 4-5 months.Admission process is smooth not so complicated. Online process of admission in our college. Verification of documents is online.

Faculty

The teaching staff at our college is highly educated and friendly in behaviour. I often interact with teachers and they are very helpful in solving my doubts as well as others. They do not neglect anyone. In my course, there are more than 150 students. Students coming from different states give everyone a chance to interact with them and know their culture and gain some knowledge.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements have been good from what I have noticed this year. BBA and BAE students get almost the same packages and same companies hire the students. Average package for BAE students is 5.5 Lakhs and for BBA it's a little high at 6 lakhs or so.

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.

Tale of a First Year

Placement Experience:

The college Offers campus placements which are mostly in the private sector. Students are eligible for Campus Placements after Completing the 4th semester or we say on completion second year. Many companies are brought on board By the placement cell of the college. In this list also Mkinsey, EY, KPMG, Which are some of the prominent rulers of their industries. The median package offered to UG was 6 lakhs per annum, Top 9 students were offered a median salary of 9,00,000 per annum. Around 490 were placed From campus placements of the college out of 1300 students eligible For the placements, These are only approximate figures and not exact. The highest package offered from the college is around 14,00,000 per annum. Talking about my plans after getting the degree is going for highest studies, Either Masters in economics or MBA in business economics.

KM COLLEGE - FILLED WITH COMPLAINTS ?

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

Placement Experience:

I would say the placement opportunities are more available for science , commerce background students in the college there are rarely any placement opportunities for humanities background students . Mostly students starts engaging in placement in the fifth semester .severky companies visited campus every year including Deloitte , EY.TCS etc . Around 40 - 50 percent students from professional courses get the placement annually .even for the students not opting for placement the exposure n the strong alumni network of college help them secure good opportunities outside campus

MY COLLEGE LIFE

Main exam was CUET. We should crack it with high marks... More than 98 percentile to get into the prestigious north campus of Delhi University. My college KMC comes under north campus and I'm really happy. I chose this college because it is one of the best for my course. It ranked 3rd in whole india for political science. I wanted it admission process is easy. After cuet results are published u have to fill csas portal. And you can see your rank and college allotted in the first round. The. Document verification. I chose Kmc because of its faculty of history and it's alumnis.The faculty of history is one of the best in du, that's why I chose KMC. I also applied for colleges like Hindu College,and also at B.H.U ,but I got confirmed admission in Hindu College in Sanskrit honours course and I wanted to pursue history so I chose KMC, and I also got admission in B.H.U history,but the faculty of du and particularly KMC history is better ,so I chose KMC. KMC is quite well than hindu College and B.H.U in terms of its alumini and crowd . KMC is also better in sports and ncc than other colleges.
