Remarks

The college is really great, don't choose the IT department. My only sincere advise!

Entrance Preview

Good amenities Friendly staffs Lots of opportunities to showcase the talents Good placements Not a very strict college Situated at the heart of the city Easy transportation Lots of friends A chance to go to ecam France and stay there for a month Very helpful resources

Course Curriculum Overview

4

they follow Anna University prescribed syllabus and it's very outdated. you won't be industry ready if you only you focussed on the syllabus alone. you need to engage often with training, workshops, internships etc to keep yourself updated and well equipped with skills

Internships Opportunities

No, my College doesn't provide any internships. of course they guide in getting you to internships but they don't provide any

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements rules have been changed If you've opted for placements then you have to sit for every eligible company without any rest, whether it is raining or government holiday if the company is coming you must attend it, else you'll be thrown out of the placements. The companies coming on campus are not really good. Don't go for them if you get an offer. but you can get some experience on how the rounds will be.

College Events

5

Every year we have Engenia which is a big interdepartmental cultural event where you'll get to perform in the famous Bertram hall Loyola. many big actors actresses will be coming n judging many events every year. And there will be some audio launches too. We have women's day celebration, Christmas celebration, Pongal celebration, sports day, farewell

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for the government quota is untouched. the same 40K per year nothing more nothing less. for management quota, I hear they gave 5L to join and I'm not sure though. every year they pay 70k as the fees. and also during the admission time, they'll collect a fee amount of 40k for industrial visits But till date, we've gone only to 3 IVs that too 2 IV is free. they looted nearly 40k from us.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, my clg provide many scholarships for eligible students. I've not availed any scholarship so far.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is awesome. There's no such rule as boys n girls shouldn't talk. You can literally enjoy like hell here in the campus. not so strict unlike other engineering colleges. so you can join Loyola provided if you have a very good cut off.

Hostel Facilities

5

I'm not a hosteller. As far as I've heard from, my friends, it's not very strict. there are 2 Sharing to 4 sharing rooms affordable rate. every day they put good food and I've heard it's very tasty. both veg and non-veg are available. you can eat them accordingly.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. every year they conduct alumni day where they'll get to interact with the staffs n present juniors of their department and after few talks, they conduct games n create some memories after which they provide a good free lunch with ice-creams and drinks. A great effort by Loyola!

Exam Structure

We have 3 tests conducted in a semester based on which you're internal out of 20 is calculated by abba University. Again partiality strikes here. Those who lick the butts of staffs will get an extra boost in the uploaded marks and if she doesn't like you, chances are there that you mark will be reduced and entered. if you ask a reason they'll give lame reasons that it might have happened unknowingly and will ask us to improve next time. shit, it is. If you are looking for good University grades don't choose this clg as this will clg will never help you to get good internals. join some other clg where they give standard internals 20 marks full

Admission

I got through Anna University Counseling. There are other modes to get into this college like management quota. for that, they shortlist the students based on the cut offs they opted for the departments. IT department has the least cut off and the mechanical and computer science has the highest cutoff.

Faculty

4.5

They are the friendliest staffs I've ever seen. I've been to many other colleges during symposiums, but they treated like shit. with no respect for students. We felt blessed to be in Loyola. But here's another drawback studying here. If you are in the IT department then you'll really face a tough time in understanding the concepts as the staffs here itself doesn't know the concepts well and they just blabber whatever they want to. Other than that all the departments have excellent faculties and they are really too good!

Placement Experience:

SSN has good placement opportunities compared to all the other colleges in Chennai. They have provided huge opportunities for students and students are placed with extremely high packages. They have provided a good package for Computer Science and Engineering as well as which falls under the domain of electrical and mechanical very well and the average package was 6 lpa. They bring lots of good and reputed companies for placement and the placement process will be decided by the respective companies like exams interviews group discussions and its personal interviews etc. Even students of core jobs like mechanical have got an opportunity to get placed with 12 lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In each department, pros and cons are different. In biotechnology, course completion is good.Staffs and students communication is aldo good.Project work done by students is not really a greater output for their knowledge.Education system or any actions take there for project work to be done by students on their own even if it is very simple or bigger, they should exhibit their skills.Project only staffs should be allocated in each department.
