Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because i wanted to focus my career on corporate sector and wanted to learn more about finance related fields. We have,20+ teachers for commerce department combining both bcom (p) and bcom ( hons). Almost all teachers hold pg in commerce field and pursuing their phd. Exam differs as per teachers. Commonly we just have internal exams, which is comparatively easy to score
Internships Opportunities
Various internships are offered by college placement cell by collaborating with companies. Companies like Verdis, Minaki jewellers , scaler, placify technologies, sargmasatan etc offer internship with stipend in average of 5000 per month. Placement cell also conduct various workshops for skill building
Placement Experience
From 5 th sem onwards students are eligible to sit for placements Accenture, wipro, Deloitte, EY, Verity, Bajaj , Byju's, Axis bank, Icici bank etc are some companies which visited our college so far this year. Highest package as per last year is 34 Lpa and Average is 7 Lpa. Various analyst, sales , consulting, HR posts are offered. 40 percentage students who sit for placements ends up getting an offer letter. I plan to pursue masters after degree
Fees and Financial Aid
Comparing to other colleges in Du, Kirori Mal College has less fees for bcom. Its almost around 12000 per year. College also provides financial support scheme, where students who's struggling can get half their fee back. Central sector scholarship and other scholarships can also be availed if youre having maintaining good academic records.
Campus Life
Its been 3 years till our college had done any annual fest. There are different societies in college which conduct different fests like literature fest, startup campaign, finance fests etc..books are available in Library for almost all sections. But its less in number and non academic books are comparatively less. Amenities in classroom is great . AC and projector is also available for some class. But some classes dont have proper benches and ventilation . Cricket and football are the most supported sports in college. There are so many societies in college run by students like AMCATKMC, Eneur, Commerce society, peace club, bhoomi- the eco club, kartavya- civil service society, sensation- dance society, musoc- music society etc
Admission
To get admitted for bcom (P) you need to take commerce stream in your 12. There's no compulsion that you need to study maths till 12 for bcom (P). Application form can be find in University site and application process takes place vary each year but its almost between june - September . Reservation is available for pwd, obc, sc,st students for fee concession and all. There's a communication gap between faculty and students which need to get sorted
