Course Curriculum Overview

Exams were conducted in stages approximately 2 months after the boards ..i joined career launcher coaching it was difficult to make your name in the merit list for du .. frankly speaking I was not able to do it but waited for the final 3rd ECA theatre list and got into ...I got dcac college in the first list according to merit ..i scored 707/800 but you need to have atleast 750+ to make into north campus for the competitive courses like ba hons English polsci history bcom eco hons etc

Internships Opportunities

I personally don't know much about it as I have not attended any internship as of now ...but I do agree you literally get a lot of internship opportunities from various fields and by prestigious and renowned companies

Placement Experience

I am not sure about that as it is only my first year but as much as I know , people actually opt for higher studies, MBA, law , journalism and mostly go for upsc once they are done with the degree ...it is hard to get a placement in ba courses unless you have done a lot of internships and have a good hand in skills

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is affordable..as the college gets subsidies from the government...the fees is 10,000 per YEAR..the graduation is now of 4 years according to the new four year University plan in the wake of new education policy but there are multiple entry exit options

Campus Life

The college is a very happening place something keeps on happening a day or the other ...there are several society and groups to join for example theatre arts dance painting entrepreneurship placement cell etc etc you even get 33percent attendance relaxation if you are a part of a society..i myself is a part of players ... college help you to develop as a personality and people from various backgrounds and different parts of the country would get you here

Admission

I am pursuing ba political science honours from kirorimal college Delhi university and I got the admission in the 3rd list through ECA theatre .you need to attend cuet examination to get into Delhi university.there are several colleges which come under a particular University. kirorimal college is one of the best colleges not only in du but all over the country.it has a nirf ranking 9th . One of the best placement packages .. Amitabh Bachchan is the alumni of this college including several others ..now let us discuss the admission process..it is very difficult to get in ..there's a condition only the subjects you appeared in class 12 board exams would be considered in cuet as far as du is concerned..this may not necessary for other universities..it is a objective paper..check cuet website for eligibilities as per course because it may differ according to course..keep on checking cuet news on Google and other updates.suggested youtube channels for cuet preperation jhoombaba,cuetadda 247

Campus placements have been good from what I have noticed this year. BBA and BAE students get almost the same packages and same companies hire the students. Average package for BAE students is 5.5 Lakhs and for BBA it's a little high at 6 lakhs or so.

Tale of a First Year

Placement Experience:

The college Offers campus placements which are mostly in the private sector. Students are eligible for Campus Placements after Completing the 4th semester or we say on completion second year. Many companies are brought on board By the placement cell of the college. In this list also Mkinsey, EY, KPMG, Which are some of the prominent rulers of their industries. The median package offered to UG was 6 lakhs per annum, Top 9 students were offered a median salary of 9,00,000 per annum. Around 490 were placed From campus placements of the college out of 1300 students eligible For the placements, These are only approximate figures and not exact. The highest package offered from the college is around 14,00,000 per annum. Talking about my plans after getting the degree is going for highest studies, Either Masters in economics or MBA in business economics.

KM COLLEGE - FILLED WITH COMPLAINTS ?

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

Placement Experience:

I would say the placement opportunities are more available for science , commerce background students in the college there are rarely any placement opportunities for humanities background students . Mostly students starts engaging in placement in the fifth semester .severky companies visited campus every year including Deloitte , EY.TCS etc . Around 40 - 50 percent students from professional courses get the placement annually .even for the students not opting for placement the exposure n the strong alumni network of college help them secure good opportunities outside campus

MY COLLEGE LIFE

Main exam was CUET. We should crack it with high marks... More than 98 percentile to get into the prestigious north campus of Delhi University. My college KMC comes under north campus and I'm really happy. I chose this college because it is one of the best for my course. It ranked 3rd in whole india for political science. I wanted it admission process is easy. After cuet results are published u have to fill csas portal. And you can see your rank and college allotted in the first round. The. Document verification. Afte that you will get gmail from the college and university. Cut off is almost 99 percentile in north campus. It's really difficult to get in. For humanities and commerce students choose DU. I chose Kmc because of its faculty of history and it's alumnis.The faculty of history is one of the best in du, that's why I chose KMC. I also applied for colleges like Hindu College,and also at B.H.U ,but I got confirmed admission in Hindu College in Sanskrit honours course and I wanted to pursue history so I chose KMC, and I also got admission in B.H.U history,but the faculty of du and particularly KMC history is better ,so I chose KMC. KMC is quite well than hindu College and B.H.U in terms of its alumini and crowd . KMC is also better in sports and ncc than other colleges.
