Course Curriculum Overview
Based on my rank in WBJEE I got this branch. There are dedicated faculties for every department, and the ratio is good enough. Every faculty is M.Tech qualifies and many are Phd Holders. The quality of the faculties are very good and are also helpful. Exams are conducted according to the MAKAUT curriculum and are moderate to pass.
Internships Opportunities
Start-ups provide internships to the students with a stipend of approx. 10000 per month. Mainly web-development, app development startups are more in number to offer internships to college students.
Placement Experience
From 2nd year onwards students are eligible for off-campus internships and from 3rd year they are eligible for off-campus placements. Many students already got internships in start-ups in the previous year. Department of CSE & ECE from 4th year onward has the highest scope to get placed in the on-campus placements. Other departments like EE, CE, and ME also get the opportunity from the 4th year onwards to sit in the on-campus placements but very few get selected. Also, very few core companies come and give placements to the students of Core departments. The average package is around 3-4 lPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
SVMCM Scholarship and many more private and Central govt. scholarships are available and the college also helps the student to get the benefits of the scholarship. Fees are set and regulated by the government. The cost to study is affordable.
Campus Life
Every month there is an event in the college. Every club has its respective events and many students participate in those events. There are 2 major fests in a year - tech fest & cultural fest which take place in a span of 4 to 5 days. Also, quiz, music, online games, etc tournaments also take place on the college campus.
Admission
Got admission in the ECE department through the Mop-up Round (Round - 3) in WBJEE Counseling. The Cut-off for ECE in 2023 is 14000 to 24000 in the Open Category without any reservations. There are reservation facilities in this college and the Cut-off rank decreases even more. The admission procedure is smooth, and the staff & seniors are helpful.
