Dislikes

There are not enough college staff so many official work are stuck
It's been 6 years and still most of the boys are not in the hostel
There is no equipment for sports in the college

After appearing WBJEE exam I participate in counseling and I choose coochbehar Government Engineering College and I choose electronics and communication engineering branch, actually I am always interested in electronics instruments so I choose electronics and communication engineering branch.

Course Fees: INR 12000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Here fees structure is very low, 6000 per semester and 1 thousand per year for teaching purpose and all other opportunities are free for every student. Every student can apply scholarship of his/her persentage value.

Campus Life

Here very decipline in the campus, and here arranged annual fest and tech fest , cultural fest and annual sports and extra curriculum like gamming competition, quiz competition, debate competition , drawing competition, are always arranged some of our clubs - tech o nics , pep talk, pratibimba club etc.

Admission

I appeared WBJEE exam, every class 12 pass students can can eligible to admitted WBJEE exam. In West Bengal joint entrance exam portal you can find the application form, application form release in November or December you can check in WBJEE official website.

Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
