Remarks

Firstly, this is one of the best colleges in Kolkata. The commerce department is very good having gems of teachers. And secondly, it is also well connected by public transport from my locality easily.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course of syllabus is really updated to cope up with this highly competitive market. Yes, they provided enough industrial exposure. The faculties were good.

Course Fees: INR 2000 per year

Placement Experience

It is still unknown to me sir. Alumni referal for the job referrals are really good and hopefully some renowned company visits our college for placement. There is no notable alumni from my batch. There is no startup by my batch mates.

College Events

Yes, there was cultural fest. Extracurricular activities too was provided from college. A student can have a good campus life at our said college. Depends on how he/she uses it. But unfortunately I haven't taken participation in any of the above said events and activities due to some personal issues.

Campus Life

Campus structure is very good. Our college has sports facilities, a good enough library for students. A new buliding has recently been made up which includes big classrooms (size not known), good furniture and good electrical facilities. Lift can be used both by students and teachers. Moreover, a standard campus we have.

Placement Experience:

I'm not sure but I think from 3rd year we will be eligible for placements. There are many finance companies, banks like HDFC, SBI, Canara,etc... & companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, PWC,etc.... The highest package last year was like 9.64 LPA & in the year before it was 10 LPA while the average is around 2-2.5 LPA. Around 20% of the total strength gets placement. Even only few % of the total strength applies for the placements. My plan is to take a placement if I can or if not then off campusing and then gather work experience & do MBA later which will give me very benifits.

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. I have also given CUET for pursuing M. Tech

The hustles and joys of a college life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen this course because of the Media and the lab facility, and my desire to understand the entire course in journalism and mass communication. The course that I took gave a bit more theoretical aspects rather than the practical ones. The practical ones were a bit less compared to theory ones. The areas I would suggest for improvement would be to encourage more assignments and provide more internship facilities to the students. The frequency of the exams for me was okay, and it was moderate, not difficult.

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

Choosing this college is basically my dreams cause it doesn't have so many criteria and as a college life if u want to pursue different course then it's the best option to choose this collehe rather than a strict college..
