What Students Say
Likes
- I liked the attendance policy, as there was no any strict rules of coming regularly to college, and the rule of 75% attendance policy was just on paper
- The class timings weren't also rigid, and our classes were not held all the 5 days a week for all the 4 weeks a month
- College location:- The college is situated in a calm place and there are farms nearby. Also, the commute to the college was difficult
Dislikes
- Reaching to the college is difficult, as after reaching Kolkata either we have to take a local train from Sealdah to Kalyani, and then from Kalyani to the campus or we can take a bus from Esplanade to Barajaguli, which is 10 minutes from campus
Course Curriculum Overview
The specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose was because this course is software-oriented, and it has topics such as web development, DBMS, and Digital electronics. It also has a full-stack web development lesson using PHP in the fourth semester, which is used in a lot of countries. The curriculum should also include modern backend and frontend frameworks, DevOps, and Platform engineering. The examinations are not that difficult, and anybody who prepares from the curriculum can score well.
Internships Opportunities
The internship that was provided to us was from a company called Euphoria Genx. The internship was unpaid, and 1000 rupees was charged from the students. The company taught us how to build a full-stack web application using PHP and MySQL.
Placement Experience
We can appear for placements from the 5th semester of college. The companies that visited our college were TCS and Cognizant. A lot of college students got offers from TCS and Cognizant. My plans after getting the degree were to get an off-campus placement.

A lot of sports take place, such as cricket and volleyball. There are different clubs, and the most famous of all is the Anime club, where students organize different kinds of activities.
Admission
I appeared for the JEE Mains examination, and I have applied for the Madras Christian College BCA course and the Jamia Millia Islamia BTECH course. I did not receive any response from Madras Christian College, and due to a lower score on JEE Mains, I did not get admission in Jamia Millia Islamia. To get admission in my college, MAKAUT, I appeared for the MAKAUT CET, which was held in online mode, but I was not selected for MAKAUT. But to one of its affiliate colleges, RCCIIT, but after some days, I saw a direct admission notice on the MAKAUT official website, and I got direct admission in BCA.
Faculty
Information on faculties:- A. Faculty to Student ratio: 1:60 B. Relationship with students:- The faculty is not strict, and a lot of them also give relaxation in assignments C. Name of faculties I liked the most:- I liked Amalendu and Supriyo the most, because they allowed me to give my practical exams on a later date, since I was in my hometown due to some domestic reasons and couldn't go to the college, which is 350 km away from my hometown. D. Examination pattern:- There are four assessments in a semester: CA1, CA2, CA3, and CA4. In every semester, not all the CAs are conducted, but in some semesters, every CA is conducted. The five marks of attendance are given according to the number of CAs given, and appearing in two CAs is mandatory. The final exam is conducted after the CAs, and students who fail can appear for the backlog exam

There is a gym in the hostel, and students unwind after their day by drinking tea, coffee, and eating noodles or rolls in the cafeterias. The hostel and campus closing time is 9:30 PM. There are restaurants near the college, and students can freely roam around at night, as the college is situated near the road
