Remarks

1.It is situated right at the centre of the city, so travelling time would be much less compared to other colleges 2. It had a very decent cut-off marks, so it appeared to be a great college 3. The placement reports were good and there were many student run design program's which was seen to give a larger hands on experience 4. They had a summer student exchange program in which selected students were given a opportunity to do a course in a foreign country

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course was not so up to date. The content of the course mainly involved on how was things and did not include how the things are now. We had some industrial exposure but it was not enough Facilities are remarkable and some professors are outstanding. To name a few there was Mr. Regis who was excellent and precise in what he taught to us. Then Mr. Prabhu shankar, Mr. James Deepak, Mr. Glen John were also full of potential

Internships Opportunities

Carlisle Brakes and friction, No stipend amount, I got it through a recommendation where there was a interview via telephone.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placement are not up to expectations. That is the only negative thing about this college. To be frank the companies that visit the campus for mechanical are so low. Other department receive a good amount of companies and almost all the students eligible for attending placemennts get placed. Their annual package lies around 2.75L to 4L Alumni network is not so good. Entrepreneur cell is not so active Companies visited for mechanical - Valeo, M. K autocomponents, Temple.

College Events

5

All the things related to the technical part was outstanding. We had our own In- house projects and teams which had went on to several competitions across India to win trophies and prizes. ( The projects are not college funded rather they are student funded. On speaking of cultural activities, I can definitely assure you this is one of the best cultural event when comparing with other colleges. Whole college including the management will be eagerly participating and the competition will be highly competitive

Campus Life

5

Cricket was given the highest priority, there were also other sports and we had a seperate ground for every sport which was extraordinary. Library was filled with books and we can get all the syllabus related material from there The equipment in the labs for completely good and nothing to be spoken ill of regarding the infrastructure Infrastructure is extremely good

SSN has good placement opportunities compared to all the other colleges in Chennai. They have provided huge opportunities for students and students are placed with extremely high packages. They have provided a good package for Computer Science and Engineering as well as which falls under the domain of electrical and mechanical very well and the average package was 6 lpa. They bring lots of good and reputed companies for placement and the placement process will be decided by the respective companies like exams interviews group discussions and its personal interviews etc. Even students of core jobs like mechanical have got an opportunity to get placed with 12 lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In each department, pros and cons are different. In biotechnology, course completion is good.Staffs and students communication is aldo good.Project work done by students is not really a greater output for their knowledge.Education system or any actions take there for project work to be done by students on their own even if it is very simple or bigger, they should exhibit their skills.Project only staffs should be allocated in each department.
