SSN college is very good college with good staff, ample facilities, merit based admissions and ambient atmosphere. It nurtures students to compete with each other and grow in a heathy and conducive environment.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was good and affiliated with Anna university. The exams are semester based with unit tests and practicals and are quite chill. The college infra structure is very good with good lab facilities.
Placement Experience
Our college has 90 - 100% placement each year with placements from top companies. The average package offered would be 4. 5 L per annum. Our college also provides internship programs to students. They can take internships during 2 and 3 year of college.
College Events
There are multiple cultural and technical events organized by our college. Our college cultural event is called Instincts and is a big event in which various colleges participate. It is a 3 day cultural fest with various workshops and events. There are also technical symposiums organized by each department.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is dependent on management or dote (counseling) quota admission. During 2013 the fees was approximately 1 lakh for management quota and 85k for Dote quota. The bus fees is 10 - 15 k approx for a year depending on the distance of residence form the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many scholarship programs in our college based on merit. On admission eligible students with a cut off greater than 199 get full scholarship for the first year. There are also partial scholarships and rural scholarship programs offered for rural students who have good academic record.
Campus Life
The college has very good infrastructure and is spread across acres with good hostel facilities for both genders. The college promotes extra curricular activities and supports and has infrastructure for the same. The college boasts a big cricket ground and other facilities also. The gender ratio is equal and there is no ragging or gender discrimination.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has a good alumni network and supportive alumni body council that organizes workshops, collects scholarships, provides job trainings etc. The alumni body is spread across other countries as well and actively participate in yearly events organized by the college.
Admission
The admission was through counseling and merit based. I chose this college for its good academic record. There is also an option of entrance exam for CBSE board based students which is again merit based.
Faculty
The faculty is good and are highly qualified. They are quite dedicated in their teaching supported by a good infrastructure. All departments are well staffed and each faculty should have minimum master's degree to be eligible to teach in our college.
