Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is well updated and upto industry standards. For BE.CSE first year comprises some of the core engineering subjects like chemistry and physics. Starting from 2nd year core computer subjects forms the majority including two elective subjects per semester. Course material for every subject is taken from renowned and widely accepted books.
Internships Opportunities
Internships offers start from 3rd year. Placement cell updates students of the live internship options and urges us to apply via email. Myself being in 3rd year of BE.CSE the following companies have offered internship positions. Amazon, JP Morgan Chase, Oracle, Accenture, Myntra, MindTree, Comicode AI solutions etc of which most of them offering PPO oppurtunities
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for full fledged placments from 4th year for BE.CSE, but internship oppurtunities start from as early as 3rd year. Placement cell persistenly sends live internship options, hackathon options etc. some of the prominent companies that recruited from our college last time was: Amazon, Oracle, Accenture, TCS etc with highest CTC offered being 41.2L CTC
Fees and Financial Aid
the cummalitive fee for the course was 11.25L, with year wise split up first year: 3L second year: 2.75L third year: 2.75L fourth year: 2.75L there weren't any donation fee, development fees or any other fee other than the admission fee mentioned above of which the first year fee was paid during admission and subsequent ones were paid in the subsequent years. most of my batchmates had the same split up except the ones that got the admission late where it went upto 4L/year for the same BE.CSE course
Campus Life
The college has way lot of events on a day to day basis held by students from multiple courses. The major one among them being the annual cultural fest held at college premises everyday featuring major national level artists and various forms of cultural events.
Admission
I had applied to two other colleges along with Sathyabama Institute. Due to admission process complexities I had to narrow down the option only to Sathyabama Institute. The admission process is very seamless and simple. There are predominantly two ways to get admitted one is via merit by cracking the SAEEE entrance exam or via managment seat. I got admitted via managment seat during the early admission season when the annual fee was apparently lower than latter admissions.
Faculty
Faculty-student interaction totally depends on the faculties, some faculties are old fashioned and not so approachable but most of them are updated and fosters faculty relationship. There exists 3 set of exam per semester for BE.CSE, which include CAE1 - first internal exam of 50 marks total CAE2 - second internal exam of 50 marks total SEM - semester exam of 100 marks total that comprises both theory and practical both the internal exams plus assingment marks are considered for the internal marks(50 marks) and semester marks are converted to 50 marks, both added total marks out of 100 per subject per semester.
Night Life
Being a day scholar myself i am not in the right position to answer about nightlife at college. Based on what i know from my peers, college has a gym, canteen options and public area access until a certain time.
