The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 re-exam result soon at neet.nta.nic.in. NTA chief Abhishek Singh confirmed the result will arrive sooner than expected.
The agency wants to avoid any delay in medical college counselling. Singh said NTA received no leak-related complaints this time. The result window is now expected to open earlier than initial estimates.

NTA Director General Abhishek Singh shared the update right after the re-examination. He said the result will be declared as soon as possible. He added that NTA wants to keep the counselling schedule on track.
Singh also confirmed that the re-exam ran smoothly across the country. NTA coordinated with state governments, paramilitary forces, Railways, and the Air Force. The whole re-exam was conducted within 37 days of cancellation.

What Happens After the Result?
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will handle the All India Quota seats. State authorities will manage the state quota admissions. AIIMS, JIPMER, and deemed universities will also use these scores for entry.
Admissions cover 15 percent under the All India Quota. The remaining 85 percent goes through state-level counselling. Qualified candidates must register on the MCC portal for the central seats.
