NTA has extended the Re-NEET UG 2026 exam window to 195 minutes and doubled rough-work pages from two to four. The exam will be held on June 21 from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM at neet.nta.nic.in.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a set of student-friendly measures for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 re-examination on its official portal at neet.nta.nic.in. The Re-NEET UG 2026 is scheduled for June 21, 2026. The exam window has been extended to 195 minutes, from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM.
The agency has revised the question paper layout and increased the space available for rough work. The changes apply to both English and regional language versions of the question booklet. The measures aim to improve candidate comfort during the high-stakes exam.

Key Changes Introduced for Re-NEET UG 2026
| Parameter | Earlier | Revised for 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Exam duration | 180 minutes | 195 minutes |
| Exam timing | 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM | 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM |
| Rough work pages | 2 pages | 4 pages |
| Rough-page placement | End of booklet only | Start and end of booklet |
Why the Duration Has Been Extended
The earlier 180-minute window included invigilation formalities such as signing the attendance sheet at the start and end of the exam. These formalities reduced the effective working time available to candidates. The extra 15 minutes now absorb these procedures.
This means candidates get the full intended writing time. The change applies uniformly across all exam centres in India.

Redesigned Booklet for Left-Handed Candidates
NTA has restructured the question paper layout after feedback from candidates. Left-handed students make up nearly 10 percent of test-takers. The earlier design placed all rough-work pages at the end of the booklet.
Two rough-work pages will now appear immediately after the instruction page. Two more pages will remain at the end of the booklet. This layout is mirrored in both English and regional language papers.
