NTA has announced JEE Main 2027 Session 2 exam dates. The exam will run from April 2 to 7, 2027. Session 2 registration opens on January 5, 2027 and closes on February 3, 2027. Admit cards release on March 25 at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2027 Session 2 schedule at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The Session 2 exam will be held from April 2 to April 7, 2027. The official notification was issued on October 24, 2026.
Candidates can apply for Session 2 between January 5 and February 3, 2027. The application fee must also be paid by February 3, 2027. A late fee window will stay open from February 4 to February 7, 2027.
JEE Main is the gateway to admissions in NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded institutions. It is also the qualifying stage for JEE Advanced, which leads to the IITs.

Who Is Eligible to Apply for JEE Main 2027 Session 2?
Candidates who passed Class 12 in 2025, 2026, or 2027 can apply. Students appearing for the Class 12 board exam in 2027 are also eligible. There is no upper age limit set by NTA.
Candidates who already appeared in Session 1 can register for Session 2. Students who missed the January attempt can apply fresh for April.
JEE Main 2027 Exam Pattern
Paper 1 is for B.E. and B.Tech aspirants. It is a Computer Based Test with three subjects. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics each carry equal weight.
The paper has 75 questions to be attempted for 300 marks. Each correct answer earns 4 marks. Each incorrect multiple choice answer carries a one mark penalty.
Paper 2A is for B.Arch admissions and Paper 2B is for B.Planning. Both papers are conducted for 400 marks each.
How to Apply for JEE Main 2027 Session 2?
The application link will go live on January 5, 2027. Candidates must visit the official portal at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The form requires personal, academic, and contact information.
Candidates must upload a recent photograph and signature in the prescribed format. The fee can be paid through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI. A confirmation page should be downloaded for future reference.
JEE Main 2027 Session 1 Dates
Session 1 is scheduled across six days in January 2027. The first set of dates is January 22, 23, and 24, 2027. The second set is January 28, 29, and 30, 2027.
January 31, 2027 has been kept as a reserve date. Session 1 registration is already underway on the official portal.
NTA has released both Session 1 and Session 2 dates in a single notification cycle. The early rollout gives students over five months to plan their Session 2 preparation. The final rank uses the better of the two session scores.

- Keep your Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets ready for form filling.
