What Is the CA Final Passing Criteria?
A candidate must secure at least 40 percent marks in each paper of a group. The aggregate score in the group must be 50 percent or more. Both conditions must be met together for a pass result.
Candidates who score 60 percent or more in any paper get an exemption in that paper. The exemption stays valid for the next three attempts of the same group.
How to Apply for Verification of Marks?
Candidates who are not satisfied with their result can apply for verification of marks. The window opens within a few days of result declaration on the ICAI portal. The application must be filed within one month of the result date.
The verification fee and the exact application window will be notified on icai.org. Candidates can also request certified copies of the answer books through the same portal under the Right to Information process.
The CA Final is the last step before a candidate becomes a Chartered Accountant. A pass result, combined with completion of articleship, qualifies the candidate to apply for ICAI membership and practise as a CA.
