Himachal Pradesh Technical University released HPCET 2026 admit cards on May 5, 2026. The entrance exam for B.Tech, B.Pharmacy, MBA, and MCA programs is scheduled for May 9-10, 2026, in offline mode.

HPCET 2026 Admit Card Out

The Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HIMTU) has released the HPCET 2026 admit cards on May 5, 2026. Registered candidates can now download their hall tickets from the official website himtu.ac.in.

To access the admit card, candidates need to enter their application number and date of birth. The admit card is mandatory for appearing in the examination and will be required during the counselling process.

HPCET 2026 is conducted for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs at HIMTU. The exam covers B.Tech, B.Pharmacy (Direct Entry), MCA, MBA, and MBA (Tourism & Hotel Management) courses.

The entrance test is held in offline (pen-and-paper) mode with multiple-choice questions in English. Candidates must carry their admit card along with a valid photo ID to the examination centre.

How to Download HPCET 2026 Admit Card?

  • Candidates can download their HPCET 2026 admit card by visiting himtu.ac.in.
  • They must select their preferred login ID option: HIM Access ID, Mobile Number, Aadhaar Number, or Email ID.
  • After entering the required credentials and selecting their programme, candidates can download and print the hall ticket.
  • It is advisable to verify all details on the admit card carefully before the exam.

HPCET 2026 Exam Pattern and Important Instructions

The HPCET 2026 exam for B.Tech and B.Pharmacy consists of 150 multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology, totalling 600 marks. Candidates are given 3 hours 15 minutes to complete the paper.

For MBA and MCA programmes, approximately 100 questions covering verbal ability, quantitative aptitude, reasoning, and general awareness must be completed in 2 hours. Each subject section contains a mix of compulsory and optional questions.

What to Carry and Verify on Admit Card

Candidates must carry their HPCET 2026 admit card along with a valid photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Driving License, or PAN Card) to the examination centre.

The admit card contains essential information including the candidate's name, roll number, photograph, signature, exam date, time, and centre address.

Candidates should carefully verify all details on the admit card and immediately report any discrepancies to HIMTU authorities. However, the allotted exam centre cannot be changed.

What’s Next for Students

After the exam concludes, HIMTU will release the answer key for candidate verification and objection raising. The result is expected around May 21, 2026, and will be available on the official website.

Following result declaration, the counselling process will begin for seat allocation across various programmes. Candidates are advised to keep checking the HIMTU website for updates on result dates, counselling schedules, and document verification requirements for admission confirmation.
