BITS Pilani HD Iteration 1 Results 2026 Out on May 8; Complete Fee Payment by May 16

BITS Pilani will release admission offers for Higher Degree (HD) Iteration 1 on May 8, 2026, for candidates who qualified through GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) or GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) scores. Selected candidates must complete their fee payment by May 16, 2026, at 5:00 PM through the official admission portal at admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in.

This is the first iteration of admissions for the 2026-27 academic year, offering M.E. and M.Pharm. programmes across BITS Pilani's Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad campuses.

BITS Pilani's Higher Degree programmes are offered through three admission pathways: GATE/GPAT scores, BITS HD entrance test, or a combination of both. Candidates with a minimum of 60% marks in their qualifying B.E./B.Pharm. degree are eligible to apply.

The admission process follows multiple iterations to accommodate candidates from different selection modes, with Iteration 1 exclusively for GATE/GPAT-qualified candidates. This structured approach ensures fair consideration for all eligible applicants across various academic backgrounds.

How to Access Admission Offers and Complete Fee Payment

Candidates offered admission through GATE/GPAT scores will receive notifications on the official admission portal. To check admission status, candidates must log into their account at admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in using their application credentials.

The fee payment must be completed online through the portal before the May 16, 2026, deadline to secure the admission offer. Candidates are advised to download and verify their admission letter, which contains essential information about their allocated programme and campus.

Documents Required and Verification Process

Selected candidates must verify their personal and academic details on the admission portal before completing fee payment. Essential documents include valid identification proof, educational certificates, GATE/GPAT scorecard, and category certificates (if applicable).

Candidates should ensure all information matches their official records to avoid processing delays. Any discrepancies must be reported to the admissions office immediately at [email protected] or through the official contact numbers provided on the portal.

What’s Next for Students

After completing fee payment by May 16, 2026, candidates will receive test center allotment details on May 18, 2026, for the BITS HD entrance test scheduled on May 25-26, 2026. Hall tickets with exam instructions will be available for download from May 21 onwards.

Iteration 2 admission offers will be announced on June 8, 2026, for candidates who appear in the BITS HD test or those selected through combined GATE/GPAT and test scores. The final reporting date for all admitted students is July 30, 2026, with academic coursework registration on August 3, 2026, and classes commencing the same day.
