Likes

Faculties are best. They teaches you and create never ending bond with you.
Infrastructure is good but the area is small , the greenery is amazing and flowers are sooo sweetest.

Dislikes

No hygiene in canteen. Avoid eating from canteen.

The curriculum is highly relevant notably the focus on real world applications and Advanced Financial reporting. It prepared me well for professional life. Improvement is needed in digital tool exposure.

My Shyam Lal College POV Memories

Likes

I liked the infrastructure, greenery and extra activities held in our campus.
I liked the behaviour of students and faculty members towards each other and juniors also
I liked the exam system in our college as a student who is attending classes regularly can easily score well in semester exams.

Dislikes

I didn't liked the election procedure in our college as it makes too much noise and frustration.
I didn't liked the classrooms in my campus as they are too old and many desks are broken
I didn't liked the few teacher's behaviour towards students as they just see us like robots.

Placement Experience:

Just there is a training and placement cell department available with the college by the faculty members but mostly small companies like burger King, Colgate and other recruiting agencies. Average interest received by the final year student is 3 lakhs per annum and the highest package was 7 LPA. Highest stipend for internships was 25,000 per month. Sab students also try to get a job by their own and some students prepare for government exam also. Some students go for further studies like Masters and PhD courses.

RELAITY OF SHYAM LAL COLLEGE

Likes

I like the teachers behaviour and their way of teaching and explaining the topics.But some teachers are rude as usual like other colleges Everything can't be better at a time in a college
The campus are is around 8 acre fully wifi enabled campus with lots of Greenery around.There are specially a ground for hockey.
The infrastructure, library and canteen is good.

Dislikes

As like other colleges in Delhi University this college also do not provide hostel facility.So the students who are coming from different regions have to stay in pg, flat,room.
During election times the students protest to much with noise that disturb our classes
Also the fees for bsc physicsal science with computer science is on higher side unlike other colleges

In shyam lal college,there is special placement and internship cell which provides students with placement and internship through good companies and average package was around 5lpa and Highest is 6.5lpa. Almost 70% of the students got placed. I have decided to do job after completing my course.

Reality of Shyamlal college of Delhi University

Likes

The faculty is well qualified. Academic wise the college is good.
There are a lot of society's where students can get to learn a lot.
Library is fine gets somewhat updated time to time.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is pretty bad. Not a lot of amenities in the college.
Only got a hockey ground that to only for college team. No sports or extracurricular activities for normal students.
Placement cell is ran by the students itself. College barely supports them to get companies. Very low packages and conversion rate is 5-8%.

Placement Experience:

Even 1st year students can get a placement if they are able to convert it during the placement fair. The only 1 renowned company which visited and which I knew was zomato back in 2024. It also paid the hightest package ever around 6.5 lpa. Only 5-8% students get placed. Most of the students of this college prepare for govt exam or prepare for their pg exams.

the thing which I like in my college was the supportive staff the staff was very supportive
sport facility was also good in my college
ground in my college was also good. maintenance of ground and other infrastructure was doing properly and time to time

Dislikes

the college was charging high fees comparing to other Du college
infrastructure was not not good . fan and other electric appliances is also not working properly
the food in canteen was also not healthy

the course curriculum is well structured and cover important topic it help in building a strong foundation but need more practical learning some subject should be updated with latest industry trend exam are fair but can be challenging at times

I like my college's gallery, field, etc.
I like the teachers and staff of my college very much, they teach very well
Events keep happening in our college, that's why I like this college even more

This is more than our college fees I feel so bad
Bullying is very common in our college There is a lot of bullying in our college and I find this bad.
There is a lot of alcohol in our college during the election time due to which students face a lot of difficulty in studying.

My overall experience in delhi university

Likes

The infrastructure was really very good.
The teachers are very supportive and caring.
People are very friendly with every student

Dislikes

The teachers were mostly absent.........
Sometimes the teachers are very strict...
College political parties annoy me the most.

Course Curriculum Overview:

According to me, bachelor of Arts is a waste program, it doesn't prepare you for anything except government exams. It doesn't prepare you for real world applications unless you have other in demand skills. I think there's a lot of need to change the syllabus of bachelor of Arts and teachers should be supportive and qualified. In every 6 months there's semester exams and mostly they're quite difficult.

Firstly I replied the staff of the college both teaching and non teaching staff all professors are helpful and well trained
Second think I also liked the campus and infrastructure of the college as our college is a off campus College
And also the students of the college are also good seniors are helpful

Dislikes

The thing that I disliked the most is the canteen of the college. Condition of the canteen is very bad .

As I choosed commerce stream in my school time as per my interest then I wanted to continue it and that's why I choosed this course . There can be some improvement in the labs and practical study that can be more improved and more easy to learn .
