the thing which I like in my college was the supportive staff the staff was very supportive
sport facility was also good in my college
ground in my college was also good. maintenance of ground and other infrastructure was doing properly and time to time

Dislikes

the college was charging high fees comparing to other Du college
infrastructure was not not good . fan and other electric appliances is also not working properly
the food in canteen was also not healthy

the course curriculum is well structured and cover important topic it help in building a strong foundation but need more practical learning some subject should be updated with latest industry trend exam are fair but can be challenging at times

my college has organised internship fair but because of some reason i did not appear in that fair so i didnot have thatmuch knowledge about internship but i have heard from my senior that college has provide internship oppurtunity

Fees and Financial Aid

the fees which i was paying for BCOM (P) was 25200 per year and this year i didnot get any scholarship and the fees which college was charge was very high because college was not paying that much facilities although college was good but other du colleges chatrge 14k to 17 k for the same course

Campus Life

the overall experience of my college was good and not much as i was expecting although college was good and teacher in this college was very supportive and humble the only problem which i was facing that the infrastructure of this college is not satisfactory and It is coming in off campus so i had to travel 1 hr from my house

Admission

i had give cuet exam in which i score 540 and i had apply and fill the admission form of many college in DU. the first college which i allocated by du was shaheed bhagat singh college evening but I want morning college so i choose this college

Faculty

the faculty member in my college are generally knowledgeable and approacable with a good faculty to student ratio that allow interaction some professor are particularly engaging and make learning interesting

Night Life

the nightlife around the college is decent with a few good hangout spot like cafes food stall and small restraunts where student can relax after classes As my my college is located in shahdara which was not safe in night so i didnot experienced nightlife in my campus

Our college provides placements. Really good packages are provided. Average package is 9!lakhs which is a very decent amount as a graduate. In past years companies like Mac&co, EY, Ben&co, Deloitte ,etc have visted our college and hired students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the course curriculum around 7/10. I chose it because the core subjects are well-structured and useful for higher studies. The syllabus is mostly theory-based, so real-world skills depend a lot on internships and self-learning. Exams happen every semester with internals in between, and they’re manageable if you stay regular. The curriculum would be better with more practical work and interactive teaching.

Placement Experience:

Bain & company, Accenture , de shaw any many more companies visited for campus. In last year two second year students got internships in Accenture and de shaw for around 60k and 90k. The highest package of my college is 36 LPA. Percentage of students getting placements is decent I don't have an accurate data. My plan after getting the degree is to do job practice for 1-2 years and then masters.

Placement Experience:

Placement is offered from 5th semister as before that they are reccommended to do some internships to add value to their CV so that theu stand out and nott be a genreal common person for the job. Mnay companies have vistied our Campus like Aceenture, Nation with Namo,etc and a great offer are always given. Highest package is about 12-15lakh and position are of connsultants. i do have a lot of plans but am still explorig my strength

The Students are eligible for internships right from their first semester and full time job roles are mostly reserved for the 5th and 6th semester students. Many top companies such as Deloitte, Kpmg, Pwc and EY visit the campus along with top firms like D.E Shaw and Accenture. The average package of the college is 7.5 Lpa and the highest package was 24 Lpa The highest package was offered by D.E Shaw , the number of offers rolled out was around 120+ . My plans after getting the degree is to get into corporate.

My Shyam Lal College POV Memories

I choose this college because this college is most nearest Delhi University college from my home. I got this college because of my CUET marks and the preference list I made in CSAS portal. Cut off for my colleagues is not very high therefore students who want to get a good college and not expecting to get the north campus college prefer my college and the same reason I chose this college. Mostly bachelor of arts and Bachelor of commerce students prefer this college and only few students choose bachelor of science course provided by my college. I think roll colleges for the part it's pieces very high has compared to North campus colleges over the same course for example fees or my course in this college is 30000 while in North campus college it is around 17000 for first year students...Read More
