Course Curriculum Overview

4

According to me, bachelor of Arts is a waste program, it doesn't prepare you for anything except government exams. It doesn't prepare you for real world applications unless you have other in demand skills. I think there's a lot of need to change the syllabus of bachelor of Arts and teachers should be supportive and qualified. In every 6 months there's semester exams and mostly they're quite difficult.

Fees and Financial Aid

1st year 15500 Second year 15500 Third year 15500 Total - 46500 Exam fees each semester - 500 Total six semester exam fees-3000 So total would be- 49500 Admission was free I was general category These were the total amount of fees i paid.

Campus Life

4

Basically, there were lots of annual and technical festivals in shyam lal college especially in feb and March. The library is full of helpful books easily available to take with library card. Classroom facilities were quite good with well infrastructure. Extracurricular activities were so many you can choose according to your interest. Mostly students run social groups, clubs, and student portals and it has great impact on their life they get social awareness and confidence

Admission

I applied to other north campus colleges like Hansraj college and miranda house but due to my low percentage there was high cut off and i couldn't cleared it so i applied to this college which has Cutoff of 85 to 90 percentage according to my marks. When i applied in this college there was merit system so i got into this college without any exam but now there's cuet

Faculty

4

The faculty is totally approachable. The student relationship is quite good with the faculty. The library is quite clean and peaceful. The faculty i didn't like was economics. Mostly exams are hard. Some students fail to clear the exam, but if you're hard working you can clear easily

Night Life

4

I was enrolled in day time college so canteen was used to close around 4 pm. But in the evening time maybe there would be late night activities. I didn't enroll in any hostel but the campus timing of day was from 9 am to 4 pm. Yes it's locally safe to roam around at night.

Placement Experience:

placement and internship fares are regularly conducted on campus where various companies which are mostly start-ups visit to recruit students for internships and entry level roles. Students become eligible for internships from the first year itself. placement opportunities are generally available after the completion of the full degree and only final year. Students are eligible to apply for full-time rules. last during our last internship and placement fair over 20 companies visited and recruited almost 150 candidates. There are no separate records distinguishing internship from placement. The highest package reported for economics honours is around 12 lakhs per annum and the average package is approximately five lakhs per annum. As per my future plans,I intend to pursue a masters degree after completing my undergraduate course.

For USME, FMCG and Financial companies are the ones which are put in place. The only reason is that those are the companies where we can add value and placements of both courses of USME happens together and combined if I say around 75% students are placed. My plan though is to join GIPE after my graduation ends this year.

DTU because East campus is more known for USME placements revolve around us. Now core companies of our sectors are the ones that deals with finance, insurance or stocks. So nearly 20-30 companies of that space or sector hires over 100 students of BAE every year.

Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs.
