Shivaji College is great in comparison to many off campus college

Likes

I like the teachers because they are very good in teaching they all clear my doubts easily
I do like the society events and joining the societies it helps me improve in various fields
overall the environment is good and there is no ragging in the college

Dislikes

sometimes the canteen food because it my get cold and they been using the same oil for many dishes
the infrastructure of this college is okay not so good and also not so bad

Admission:

I have applied for north and south campus colleges of du but i specifically prefer shivaji college over others because it is great and i have the priviledge to study in the same college as my cousin sister so she can help me in many things.

It's a decent college, but better than many other colleges

Likes

Faculty of the college is well qualified and friendly in nature
The campus is good with greenery and well organised
Different societies for different interests of the students

Dislikes

Not a big campus, small campus and some of the classrooms are also small
The classrooms are not equipped with ACs , specially the old building is horrible in summers
The college ground is on lease, only the half ground is available for students

DU intakes admission on the basis of CUET UG exam, and then there's the reservations for all categories, so basically your admission is based on the CUET marks and reservations, and then you get a chance to make a preference list of colleges and courses and then DU allots you a seat based on your preference list and your marks as per category.

The college has good educational facilities such as smart classes and many others things.
The college also has a very big sports ground where we can play various sports.

Admission:

I never wanted to choose this college but somehow I got this college. My first priority was St. Stephen's College as it is very good college with good reputation and exellence. Other than that I also applied for Christ Unversity in Ghaziabad and JIMs college in Rohini.

Shivaji College is Student Friendly!

Likes

Shivaji College of DU is perhaps the only college where there is no attendance issue.
Our college too has many prominent societies and nearly 60-80 students are involved in each of the society.
Garden and plants or rather nursery of our college is the best place to get some fresh air in an otherwise polluted Delhi.

Dislikes

Placements are quite poor at our college as hardly 10-15% studnets are being placed from our campus.

Admission:

Admission are through UG CUET and a score of 600-620 our of 800 is usually the cut-off for Shivaji College, Delhi. My frist choice was the Hindu College but I got admission in DU was itself a big win for me. As I didn't expect to make it as Shivaji is among the lowest ranked colleges of DU.

The faculty members are awesome and helping in nature
The society are very active in the college
The fest and events all are awesome and unbeatable

Dislikes

Because it is off campus so the overall perspective is not so good
The classroom are not equipped with air conditioners
The campus size is only 10 acres, so the campus should be large

The college is overall good , with all facilities and good infrastructure and all society are active and events took place are great . I got this college through CUET , there is no choice of mine , I got this according to my preference list and best thing is that this college provide opportunities to all and have better ease of learning than other colleges

Shivaji College girl and her experiences

Likes

There are new benches and clean classrooms are good.
Sitting area is good you can enjoy with your friends there.
An amazing sports complex where you can play most of the fun outdoor games and can also enjoy amazing time with your friends.

Dislikes

Canteen area is not so good it's small and is unhygienic sometimes
Most of the Computers of mathematics lab don't work very well.
Old building needs a bit of repairment and needs a large auditorium as it's small

Admission:

I chose this college because of the facilities it provides even after being an off campus college. It is actually better than various south campus colleges in facilities and courses and in case of internship, it's doing quite well as placement cell was introduced just few ago, it's placement packages are quite well compared to that. It provides better placement than most of the south campus colleges and can be compared to gargi in terms of placement packages. It also has one of the biggest sports complex in du which is also an amazing thing for any sports person. And it's overall reviews were also very good and I had great experience in this college. So yeah it's an amazing college.

I like the support by the professors all of them are so cooperative. you can go to them any time for your doubts and they'll always help you. infact our professor allowed to conduct online doubt with the assurance of students.
the seniors are also so supportive. they always try to teach you values
I also like the overall convenience of college

Dislikes

There is no such thing which I dislike but sometimes I feel like college canteen sucks
To be honest the overall infrastructure is good but there are some classes are old ( my classes happens in the new building mainly)
The college has a little politics which is normal in college ( I just don't like politics)

To be honest I just wanted to get admission in any Delhi University college. all of them are good. Sure the north campus is the best but due to my low marks I couldn't make it to north campus the only thing I wanna say is make your preference list carefully and score as much as you can in CUET cutoff is around 400 for general category in 2024 for mathematics major out of 800 which I think anyone can score if they study normally

The Underrated Review.

Likes

I really like the new building which is jijabai building block, it has very good labs and classes as well.
I really like this staff and the Teachers of the college there very helpful and cooperative.
The college has 30 + societies and each have different motive and Shivaji College society are one of the good society's of the DU college.

Dislikes

Lack of sports facilities in the college which can be improved.
The campus is not that big but small and beautiful.
College don't have a good Cafeteria place.

I choose this college because of its location, curriculum and faculty. The location is really at a good place it is very near from Metro around 500 m and the curriculum of this college is very good the additional courses are really nice and practical knowledge is more there. And the faculty are really awesome if we compare the arts faculty is really good as compared to science.

The Sports Ground as of now is very big and contain very sports equipment .. as a sports enthusiast i really like that
Infrastructure is very good with lifts and best science facility available
Campus of college is very good with cozy vibe all around it. With so many greenery

Dislikes

Cafeteria.. i dont like Cafeteria as it gont provide a baic good menu and also rude staff behaviour
Auditorium is not well maintained.. but it generally in case of old audi not new audi
There is something inexcess to college garden which i dont like but genrally theya loow the entry

I apply for this course from delhi unibersity after my exam under CUET UG and got selected in third round of cutoff .. as this course cut off is not so high and generally a very likable by the students .. i havent apllied to any other colleges tho.

Overall it is an amazing experience at the college in learnand social life.
Ratio of boys to girls is 40:60 and in my course it is 30:70 is
There is well equipped laboratories and highly skilled teachers

Dislikes

There's some classrooms which are old and not equipped with smart boards
There's absence of hostel in the college
There's some irregularities in the some classes
