The CUET UG 2026 May 25 shift 1 has started at 9:00 AM and will conclude at 12:00 PM. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the CUET UG in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across 400+ exam centres in India and 15 international cities.
The May 24 shift 1 was easy to moderate in overall difficulty. The subject-wise analysis is given below:
- Physics: The paper was easy to moderate in difficulty. There were around 25-28 questions from theory, and the rest of them were from numericals. Numericals were tricky and took more time to solve.
- Maths: The paper was lengthy and tricky with questions asked on topics such as definite integrals, matrix and differential equations, linear programming problems (LPP), application of derivatives (increasing and decreasing), cylinder question (NCERT), and Vector and 3D etc.
- GAT: The paper was easy to moderate in difficulty. The weightage of questions was almost equal across all the sections, i.e., Quants, Reasoning, and GK. The questions were asked on topics such as Matrix, Blood relation, etc.
The question format across subjects included statement-based questions, match-the-following, chronology, and sequence-oriented patterns. Time management played an important role in completing the papers comfortably.
In CUET 2025, around 14 lakh candidates registered, showing high competition in 282+ participating universities, which include 47 central universities.
