- Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
- Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
- The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.
Dislikes
- We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
- I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
- There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

- Campus beauty and academic competition, here there is very good academic healthy competition,As a student i can feel it. Also l like infrastructure of several building from outside only.
- Fest is also good, here there are major 2 fest one is aarohan and other is recs... both are too good
Dislikes
- As soon as we arrived at hostel, hostel rooms were too dirty. That we payed to clean it up .
- There is an issues of snakes,, in our hostel in last 1 to 1.5 month around 12 to 13 snakes have been spotted
Placement Experience:
In our college there is 82% placement.
Highest placement is around of 80 Lakhs per annum by apple india.
Mainly from fourth year student are get placed.
Also there are some internship from second and third year

- It is huge large campus of 187 acres and got 49 NIRF ranking ,this campus is so beautiful.
- There are so many clubs/society , which help us students for growing their skills.
- This campus provide a good average placement of computer science students as well all stream students.
Dislikes
- There are too much snakes in this campus which is very dangerous.
- There is no many fest only 2-3 fest are happen per year.

Placement Experience:
From 7th semester student got placement and there is no limitation for placement. There are so many companies visited the campus, such as (amazon, microsoft, JP morgon, TCS , infosys, Oracle , and many more..) , they offer more than 700 to 800 students. The average package of CSE branch is approx 22 LPA and highest package is 82 LPA. There are 80 to 90 percent student who got placed. My plan after getting the job is to work hard and explore the world.

- The infrastructure of the college is very good
- The place the college is situated is well.
- The faculty is pretty decent and support is good for innovations
Dislikes
- The foood of the college is not so good.
- The hostels in the college are not well maintained
- The places to roam around the collage are not more
Placement Experience:
My college has fairly decent placements, particularly for Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). Every year, well-known companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and Accenture come to campus for recruitment. There are good opportunities for students with strong technical and problem-solving skills from some product-based companies and startups. A few students get higher offers than the average package and that is also good depending on their performance and skills.

- All the teachers are truly passionate about what they teach .
- The campus size is really good and have everything needed.
- The placements and all the internship opportunities are best.
Dislikes
- The girl and boys ratio is 1 isto 5 only .
- Some of the teachers are strict and give too much assignments.
- The strict 75 percent criteria is the worst thing possible.
Placement Experience:
Placements are really decent and sometimes overwhelming as all the students eligible gets the chances to sit for all the multi national companies like google and microsoft easily .And if someone wants to get into core and research they will also easily pursue what they want.

- the infrastructure is well developed with mordern labs central library hostels medical facilites anad sports activites

- some hostels buildings old and need better maintaience especially in terms of washroom .the mess food is average and can be improved
- the campus is located bit far from metro cities so exposure to industries is slightly limited campared to nits closer to large hubs
- the girls to boys ratio is 1 : 7 in btech courses

- I am from south so I don't like the food .it's too sweet and they don't use much spice and salt
- The cost of living is very high which is 2 to 3 times higher to my native place
- The lab infrastructure is too poor it needed to be reconstructedl

For 6th semester people are eligible for internship and 8th semester campus placement. Many big companies like microsoft are visited our college. 90% of people from cse department are placed every year the highest package is 60lpa and lowest is 10lpa.
I want to settle well in a best company with high package after this degree

placements at nit durgapur are very strong eligibility begins after the 6th semester. in some cases cgpa should be higher regarding the company companies. that visit are amazon ,oracle ,adobe ,tcs ,seimens .highest package is between 50 to 70 lpa and average package is between 10 to 15 lpa .plans after degee are higher studies.

I have choosed Computer Science and engineering as from childhood computer and its technology influence me very much . I have aim to became a programmer and get in a good mnc and for this college is perfect .

- Collage labs are very worse . Minimum amenities are not there and girls to boys ratio is also worst 👎 i guess its somewhere around 1:5
- Some faculty are bad 👎 and outdated . Not upto the mark.
- Fests and events are very bad. No sufficient budget is spent on them

Google ,microsoft, BNY, Samsung, oracle, Infosys, pwc, hdfc, tcs, icici, axis and many more MNCs visit our campus in placement drive
Previous year we got 500 above offers from small and big companies
Highest is 50 lpa and average is 10 lpa overall
70 percentage of students get placements
My plans is to join any company after degree
But after corona the placement offers are very less as compared to before corona this might be issue in every collage

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur
- Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
- Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
- Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
- Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
- Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
- Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
- Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
Overall, NIT Durgapur is a great place if you are unable to make it to IITs.
