If you can easily afford KIIT it's worth considering as it offers better exposure even I opted for it

People who are not studying from IIT/NIT.... does it still hurts somewhere deep knowing that you can never be an IITian.
We all wanted to be IITian... no matter what we say now that skills matter, NIT/IIT does make little difference, you have to work hard, you can succeed in life later...etc, etc... But that dream which we saw, it still hurts right? I don't know about you guys....but it will forever hurt me...like whenever someone will talk about IITs and all it will still hold same pain, even if I will do good later in life. It was my childhood dream.

Choosing Between Oriental, LNCT, ITER, and KIIT for CSE – Need Honest Advice on ROI, Exposure & Family Situation
I’m helping my younger sister choose between a few colleges for CSE/CSDS, her qualifications are 12th passed out and I’d really appreciate honest advice from anyone who’s been in a similar situation especially when it comes to balancing cost, college reputation, and long-term career outcomes.Options:* Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopal – CSDS branch through regular counseling. Around ?4–5L total cost. We own a house in Bhopal, so housing and living costs would be minimal.* LNCT, Bhopal – Stronger reputation and better placement stats, but it requires a ?6L donation for the seat, making the total cost approximately ?12L.* ITER (SOA), Bhubaneswar – Around ?12L. Good placements and they promote industry collaborations and offer internships with companies like Fidelity, Samsung PRISM, and HighRadius.* KIIT, Bhubaneswar – Known for its placement network and brand value. Total cost is approximately ?18.5L for 4 years. Background:We’re originally from Bhopal, but we’ve lived most of our lives in Bhubaneswar. I was raised by a single mother who managed both the household and our small business on her own. Because she had to handle everything alone, the business never really grew, and we struggled financially for a long time. Now I’m working in Pune and can support my mom and sister financially even if they don’t earn anything for a few years. If my sister chooses a Bhopal college, my mom can relocate into our own home there, potentially restart a business, and finally have some stability. What I’m Struggling With:* Do ITER or KIIT offer significantly better internship/placement exposure that would justify their higher cost?* Will choosing Oriental or LNCT in Bhopal limit her chances of landing product-based roles or top internships?* Is it smarter to save money and rely on off-campus efforts (DSA, GitHub, dev projects, LinkedIn) or to pay more for a better brand/network?* Has anyone here chosen a low-cost college and still made it to a good role? Or regretted paying for a premium college?I’m trying to make a decision that balances financial sanity, long-term ROI, career opportunity, and family stability. Would love to hear from anyone who’s faced similar choices or seen how these colleges actually perform. Thanks a lot in advance.I have rephrased it with GPT, too burned out to write all by myself.

Bhaiyo help chahiye JEE Mains counselling ke liye - 77%ile General, totally confused
Hi doston, Main iss time kaafi zyada confused hoon aur thodi genuine help chahiye. Situation yeh hai: JEE Mains 2025 diya tha, 77 percentile aayi hai (General category) and from Jharkhand Boards mein 75% aaye hain KIITEE bhi diya tha - 78 percentile mila WBJEE bhi diya tha, usme 42 marks aa rahe hain (general rank low hi aayega most probably) Ab honestly pata nahi chal raha kya sahi hai, kya galat. Mind mein bohot saare sawaal ghoom rahe hain: 1. Kya iss percentile pe koi college mil sakta hai JEE counselling se (JOSAA/CSAB)? 2. Direct admission lena chahiye kisi private mein ya state counselling ka wait karun? 3. Aise kaunse private colleges hain jahan CS/IT branch milne ka chance ho? 4. KIIT worth hai kya is percentile pe? Fees bhi kaafi high hai 5. WBJEE ke 42 marks se kuch ho sakta hai kya? Ya wah bhi waste hai? Main bas yehi chahta hoon ki koi sensible decision le saku. Agar kisi ne similar situation face ki ho ya guidance de sakta ho toh please help karo. Seriously, abhi kaafi tension mein hoon. Har choti help matter karegi. Thanks bhaiyo/sislog in advance!

Jee Counselling?
Hey everyone, I'm in a really confused and stressful situation right now and need some proper guidance. I appeared for JEE Mains 2025 and scored 77 percentile (General category). Jharkhand My Class 12 board percentage is 75%. I've also applied for KIITEE and scored 78 percentile there. I know these aren't great scores, but I'm still hoping to get admission somewhere decent even if it's a private college. Right now, I have so many questions and doubts: 1. Can I get any colleges through JEE Mains counselling (JoSAA/CSAB)? 2. Should I focus on private colleges that accept direct admission or go with state-level counselling? 3. What are some decent private colleges I could try for with this score (CS/IT branches preferred)? 4. Is KIIT worth it with my percentile? I would really appreciate any guidance, tips, or personal experiences you can share. I'm just trying to make the best decision and feel very lost right now. Thanks in advance!

    1. No. cs related field have a requirement of 98 percentile for general in decent college. You can still try tier 3 government colleges like gurgaon university.

Guys please help me which option is better for me?
Qualifications: 12 passed CBSE, 87.6% PCMB student. So I took admission in BTech+MTech dual degree biotechnology in KIIT. Now in India the scope of biotech is limited. I matched my CUET answer (not the final answer key I didn't check it yet) and got 589/750 in PCB. I was thinking if I can get into BHU in BSc Chemistry and then try for BTech CSE next year by practicing maths more, is that better? KIIT is taking possibly every student in CSE or CSE AI ML, that time I didn't know that or else I would have given KIITEE exam in PCM and not PCB.
