Likes

Scholarships are available at good scores in jee mains but there are also internal scholarships within semesters if you score good in one semester you can get scholarship financial assistance was also good
Teachers are good and they teach well and helping us to improve
The placement opportunities are good and allows big companies like amazon take students from the university.

Dislikes

The placements of this campus are very bad considering it's a government funded technical institution and the ranks for this college are high. the package should be atleast 6-7 lpa average for a cse student.
One more thing i hate here is that sports is not good here
Mess food is horrible here. the worst thing about the hostel life is mess food here.

Likes

Hostel facilities and mess food is just amazing
Faculty members are very kind and supportive
The teaching methods are very good and interesting.

Dislikes

Everything is good and beautiful .no need to improve much
I think there must be sports teams for the girls.

Placement Experience:

The placement is also very good. I am not interested in placement because i want to continue my research . That's why i choose p.hd for higher studies . But my friends get very good placement offers in jammu and in other states as well. Mostly in pharmaceuticals and food industries

My university opinion

Likes

I liked the campus ,the environment here.
The faculty is good I like all my professors.
The campus is really beautiful and I like my department as well

Dislikes

The campus cafeteria yeah I don't like the cafeteria here
2 exams are held in one day which gets very difficult to manage
Very hectic and i don't like some of the rules

Course Curriculum Overview:

Biotechnology is the subject I had an interest in and I wanted to study it. I like how we study a lot of subjects under it like microbiology and immunology. The course is good the lab part is somewhat difficult and the exam frequency is manageable

The view is really good .. in smvdu one can connect with nature as soo much greenery, flowers , mountains are there
The university is very clean . If someone wants peace then this campus is good as univ is in rural area soo whole area is vry peaceful
Infrastructure is good. Faculty is also really good

Dislikes

Campus life is zero as no such univ dont focus on festivals
Campus Life is really boring for one who is introvert . Also for others tooo as theres nothing much to do other than studying . But one can explore jammu&kashmir if he/she came from other states

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is mainly about fulfiling the basic needs of mankind without destroying nature . Infact with the help of microorganisms through biotechnology we can generate products whic are helpful for us . Here we are also making use of plant tissue culture which can contribute in afforestation, generating food etc. By studying biotechnology we can actually contribute in human welfare and also protect our nature. OverAll the teacing methods for this course are good .. I personally think that along with syllabus some extra knowledge should be given to the students about how to write their own research paper.. how to get projects internships doing an extra course etc. The exam is taken 3times In a semester i.e 6months but usually the semester is ended within 4-5months .. and exams aur taken after a gap of just 15-20days. So preparation time is less. One can only secure gud percentile if he/she studies on daily basis.
