Likes

The commerce faculty is very good. The teachers are very helpful and teach very well.
The canteen has a wide variety of foods to choose from
The college has a lot of extracurriculars

Dislikes

The time table can be made in a better way as sometimes the gap between too classes is a lot
The wifi is a little slow within the college
More seating arrangements can be made in the reading room

Course Curriculum Overview

Certain aspects of the current curriculum can be improved and can be made more relevant as some things are very outdated. However new subjects like SEC, VAC and AEC have been introduced which give students more variety and help in skill building.

Internships Opportunities

The college offers a lot of internship opportunities. It hosts an annual internship fair where many companies offer internships. The students can submit their CV and get into contact with the HRs directly. The college also offers research internships

Placement Experience

The placement record of the college is very strong and many top companies recruit students each year. The average package is ?600000 and there is plenty of space here for growth opportunities as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees that i'll be paying is ?22000 annually. The fees for students from categories other than general is significantly lower. The college also has schemes regarding financial aid and provides scholarships.

Campus Life

The campus life is great. There are students from all over the country so the crowd is very diverse. The academics are very strong and the professors are very knowledgeable. The societies are also very enthusiastic.

Admission

I chose this college for a few reasons. Firstly, it has a strong NIRF ranking and has been given an A+ grade by NAAC. Secondly, it has strong academics and a lot of extracurriculars. The societies within the college are also very active.

Faculty

The faculty-to-student ratio is very good. The professors are very attentive and well informed. They make the classes interesting and also teach very passionately. The commerce faculty is particularly great.

Night Life

The college has a lot of hang out spots to offer within the campus. The rock garden and foyer are common hangout spots. Right opposite the college is Satyaniketan which has a lot of restaurants and cafes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very interesting & it teaches you a lot about the entrepreneurship. Specially in the field of commerce it gives you the right information and exposure to the real world. Subjects like Corporate law , business law , Cost accounting and etc teaches you a lot about practicality.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say that SEC and VAC, were added by the university to enhance students mind, but these subjects feel more like burden to the students. And also the theoretical and numerics being taught, are not relevant to todays world, as curiculum in the books is not upto date, The assignments pressure.. and sometimes the fear of getting low marks.

MLNCE - Average but Enjoyable

Placement Experience:

The placement in Motilal Nehru College (Evening) is decent and is led mainly by the Placement Cell. Though inactive earlier, the placement cell has become significantly more active recently, bringing in more internship and job opportunities. Students become eligible for placements during 3rd year. In a good placement season, companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY come for Audit, Taxation, Risk Advisory, HR jobs. Other companies like DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Capital IQ also come during job fairs. Earlier, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart have also recruited from the college mainly for Sales, Business Development, Operations jobs. Highest on-campus package is ?18.7 LPA and rhe average package is ?3.6-4.5 LPA. Approximately 40% to 50% of students who participate in the process secure placements. My plan is to get into freelancing after college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In regard to the relevancy of the course Im quite fond of the subjects such as BL CA AND HRM they give us the better insights for both practical and theoritical knowledge making us ready for the "real" world . As For the improvement i feel like there should be some flexibility in GE so that students can choose a sub as per their choice as Hindi is fixed for me which isnt quite suitable for my course and it just drags my CGP down. The frequency if the exam is okay but the timing I feel like its way too fast just after first sem exam we had classes and all test and felt like it went on a spur

An Unfiltered View of SRCC

Placement Experience:

Placement in SRCC is very amazing, and way beyond the placements of DU colleges. A lot of big big names in Finance, and consulting domain, recruit from campus including McKinsey & Co., Bain & Company, Kearney, Big 4s and all. Highest package is 35+ LPA and Average Package is 10 LPA. I HAVE PLANNED TO complete my ACCA along with a little work experience.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
