What Students Say
Likes
- ILNU is probably the only private university in Gujarat that provides internships to its students.
- Spacious and comfortable hostels for all the students coming from different places.
- Cricket presentor Tanmay Tiwari is a graduate of our university.
Dislikes
- Placements still way below GNLU as that's the one our university is competing with.
Course Curriculum Overview
ILNU was in my sight as I have heard and also saw it with my naked eye, the amount of hard work the students have to do. So law studies here are very demanding and honestly that is what I wanted. So I think they done need to change anything as the course for all likelihood is challenging and what's law if it isn't challenged.
Internships Opportunities
Intenrships in Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Delhi are the places where university make us go for internships. It depends on the year as 1st year students are advised to intern in courts and from 2nd year students can try litigation firms and from 4th year onwards paid stipend are provided.
Placement Experience
Students are in places from 4th year and by 5th year most students are placed. The firm's keep coming for 5-6 months and before the final semester ends, placements are almost done. Day Placements for a 2 days is organized to place the students who have missed out. This way the placements percentage of the university remains high.
Fees and Financial Aid
ILNU is the law college of Nirma University and it is the best law private college in Gujarat. After GNLU it's the second best law college of Gujarat and fees is 3.4 lakhs a year. Hostels of the university are quite expensive and therefore I have taken a private stay otherwise that charges are around 1.5 lakhs a year.
Campus Life
Definitely the most attractive campus is Nirma University. As for competitions I have been to various universities and so many have been invited to our university as well. All of them have moot courts but none like us and even our auditorium is it is second largest after PDEU in Gujarat. Our annual fest have seen Shirley Setia performimg last year and this year too a couple of artists have been invited.
Admission
I gave CLAT to get into NLUs but only the top ones. NUJs and GNLU were my top choice. Even with Gujarat domicile I couldn't get admission to GNLU and then the best possible law college of Gujarat is indeed ILNU. So I took admission here in my CLAT rank which was 13000.
Faculty
At ILNU the faculties are really great as not just they go all guns while teaching but also make sure studies are into our head. I have finished just three semesters so far but can say that we have enough mettle to prove the same in internships. Faculties themselves have helped us for that and no matter how many thankyou we tell them it won't be sufficient.
Night Life
Hostel intime for boys is around 10 pm but I don't stay in hostels and still I am allowed to use campus facilities till 10. In Ahmedabad CG and SG highways have the best cafes and hotel and for jamming there's no better place then River Front. We also have various other activities there including cruise and cycling.
