Admission to ILNU is based on CLAT entrance exam results, with the process starting in late May and classes commencing in mid-June. The faculty-student ratio is satisfactory, with experienced professors in subjects like economics and political science using interactive teaching methods. However, some new faculty members lack experience. The college is compared favorably to Symbiosis Law School and the NLUs. Fees are considered high, increasing annually without a parallel improvement in education quality.

The placement cell assists in securing internships and offers guidance, but many students find jobs independently. Eligible from the 9th semester, students have access to campus placements, with top firms like Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas participating. The average placement package ranges from Rs. 80,000 to 1,00,000 monthly, with the highest annual packages reaching 29 Lacs in 2020. Placement rates have fluctuated, with the highest at 86% in 2018 and the lowest at 30% in 2020.

Beyond placements, many pursue higher studies or find jobs in top law firms and corporates, earning an average of 5-6 Lakhs annually, with a maximum of 20 Lakhs. Scholarships are available based on merit and merit-cum-means, including a 100% waiver for top CLAT scorers and significant concessions for SC/ST and high-merit students. The annual tuition fee for integrated law programs ranges from Rs. 3,18,000 to Rs. 3,73,200, not including hostel fees, and can be paid in two installments via various methods.
