Course Curriculum Overview

4

The UWSL curriculum is practical, largely industrially-aligned and contemporary, especially for students interested in corporate law or practice-based careers. it would benefit from deeper academic

Internships Opportunities

3

In a local ngo in Ahmedabad they offered us 10k stipend and I was assigned with task of making case briefs. And in corporate companies I was assigned to assist seniors and prepare drafts and ppts for the sessions. With stipend up to 20k for 3 months. And major internships were unpaid.

Placement Experience

3

Placement eligibility starts from 4th year end, 8th semester end. Total students placed were approx 18% and median package was 4.8-4lpa. And top opportunity was from Deloitte 6-10lpa. My plans after this degree is to study further for llm and later with job apply for phd

Fees and Financial Aid

1st year: 90,000 2nd year: 1,00,000 3rd year: 1,05,000 4th year: 1,95,000 5th year: 2,00,000 No different fees structure for sc and st category. If you scored more that 80% in clat than you get approx 50% relaxation in fees payments and if scored more than 90% than full relaxation.

Campus Life

5

Annual cultural festival: VIAJE happens in February or March, a multi-day carnival featuring dj nights, dance, drama, food stalls, legal quiz and inter-college competitions. The central library stocks upto 7000 physical books and 11000 e-books. Classrooms are fully air-conditioned and equipped with smart boards with a dedicated moot court hall. There are also intracollege sports competitions on campus.

Admission

For Symbiosis Pune, I didn't prepare early enough for slat and missed their cutoff by a narrow margin. It was my first law entrance and I underestimated the competition. For Nirma, I made it to the interview but was likely filtered out due to average articulation and their preference for top scorers in CLAT. The limited intake made it more competitive. Choosing UWSL wasn't my first dream but it became my best fit decision. The approachable faculty and hands-on learning model, and peaceful campus helped me grow both academically and personally.

Faculty

3

1:10 ratio, faculty are supportive and accessible. Standout faculty were Dr. Lakshmi,Dr. Paliwal and Dr. Ahmad as their expertise and knowledge helped me a lot in understanding constitutional law and ipr well. Some visiting lecturers were less consistent in delivering. There were 5major exams per semester with 89% pass rate finals were challenging

Interview Experience

4

The KULAT was there a mcq based test on legal reasoning, gk, English and logic. Then there was personal interview who asked me what do you know about current laws, why do you want to pursue law, what you participated in debates and what are your career plans after law. There was no GD. And I attended online crash courses for tests.

Night Life

5

Weekdays' evenings are mostly spent in cafés, or on group projects. Fridays and Saturdays see hostel corridor cricket, music jam, board games or ordering from onto and Swiggy. Late night study groups in hostel lounges or the library are common near exam times. Hangout spots outside campus are agora mall in Ahmedabad, DASTA cafe, mcd in Gandhinagar and riverfront in Ahmedabad
