Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is as per Savitribai Phule Pune university as college is affiliated to university. There is semester pattern. Every semester is of approx 3.5 months of teaching. The level of exams is very easy but to score good marks you need to study regularly

Internships Opportunities

4

There are various internships like law firms in pune who normally provide with 5-8k as stipend but mostly students do internships in district court where it is unpaid. Most of the students have unpaid internships.

Placement Experience

3

The placements in college is moderate. Some students from BALLB grab high packages like 15-20 lakhs, but these are exceptions. Normally students have on average 8-10 lakhs mostly in law firms and banks

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for General category is approximately 38000/year it includes everything from tuition fees, sports, moot court etc There are various government scholarships available for OBC, SC, ST, EBC etc. The fees is slightly on higher side but it is value for money

Campus Life

5

The infrastructure of campus is top notch. There is lush green trees everywhere in the campus. Annually sports week is held and gatherings are also held in college. There are various clubs for every student to explore like moot court society, history club etc

Admission

I had applied to GLC, Mumbai and ils law college only. I would prefer ils over glc because ils has good atmosphere regarding academics and a very big library as well. The admissions in ils happen by MAHCET law

Faculty

5

The faculty members are really good and are mostly academically inclined. There are visiting faculties as well and permanent faculties as well. Rishikesh Ganu sir who practises in pune district court is also a great academician. There is semester pattern as per pune university

Night Life

5

The library is open from 9:30 am to 10 pm. There is Starbucks near to college. The famous FC road is also only 1 km from college and it has good cafes and nightlife. The locality around the college us very safe for boys and girls

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam of Shree L. R. Tiwari College of law covers a wide range of legal subjects. The focus on pratical aspects such as moot court sessions, legal drafting and internships influenced my decisions to choose this course. Exams are typically held at the end of each semester. Interacting teaching methods, guest lecture by legal practitioners, and workshops enhances the learning experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculty members are well-qualified and very helpful to students. You can reach any faculty at any time of the day and they are ready to help you. Exams were on time and due to covid, our last sem exams were delayed by 1.5 months. Exams were a bit difficult but if you study well you can achieve good marks.

Placement Experience:

The college is known for campus placements in every sector especially corporate and practices at the Hon'ble High Courts and the apex Supreme Court of India. Many also opt for going into the judiciary and become High Courts and Supreme Judges. Many legal luminaries and stalwarts including former Chief Justice of India Y.V. Chandrachud and late Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh are an alumnus of the college. The companies usually come for recruitment in the final year of the course i.e, the 3rd year or the sixth semester to be eligible for placements. The college also provides pre-placement training. Law students are not recruited to placements, they enhance their skills participating in national and international moot courts, arbitration and mediation competitions across the globe. Various law firms which visit are Khaitan and Co., Mindtree, Mulla and Craig and many other reputed organizations. The highest placement is around 13 LPA. 70% placements.

Admission:

I took admission in 2015, initially it was based on merit list (from last year MH CET is mandatory) There were 2 rounds, I was not in the lists as I didn't fulfilled the criteria of required marks. But few students left that college and due to that vacancy they admitted me. At that time allocation of seats were based on caste.
