College Review - IIIt-A

The curriculim is somthening which really influenced my decision to choose this college as it is up to date and gets very course/stream specific right from the 2nd semester itself by avoiding outdated subjects like chemistry and biology. We have almost 8hrs hours of lab every week which makes us ready for the real-world applications by immproving our practical knowldege. We have one mid-sem and an end-sem and also few quizzes in between which depend on the facullty of that particular subject and are most often or of medium difficulty.

I am not that aware in detail abhout the interbship opportunites in my college but the placement cell also provides a strong support for the internships as well and also big companies also visit and take students.

The placements of my college are really good in number, competing with some top NITs and IITs because of strong support from the placement cell, rich coding culture and cirriculum, FANG companies also come here to recruit here. The highest pacakge offered is around 1.2 crores and the average is around 30LPA. Almost 90% of students get placed. I am planning to do M.Tech

1.The total year-wise fee paid goes somewhere around ?280000. 2.The Tutition Fees is ?230000 which includes all the lab,development and other compulsory charges. The mess and hostel fee is around ?50000 per year. 3.For SC/ST students there is no tution fee as such and they just have to pay the mess and the hostel fee. 4.Not aware of the specific scholarhships that my institute provides but all other state/central govt and private scholarships can be applied for.

The overall experience is also quiet balanced with good amount of fests around the year, one cultural fest - EFFERVESENCE, one sports fest ASMITA and one tech fest APROKSHA which really bring a break from the hectic life and also bring in the balance of social aspects. And also clubs also exist for techincal and cultural aspects like singing, dance, coding etc. and also the onfrastrucer is also quiet well and updated.

Everyone is alloted a double sharing room during the admission itself where we also have an option to opt for a single room by paying double the amount. Each room has basic features like fans, lights and cupboards with saring washrooms. The meal quality as not so good but is balnced.

As mentioned earlier the reason for chosing this college is an up to date cirriculum, coding culture and the packages. I also applied to some private colleges like Manipal, Anurag University and also IIIT Banglore and also would have got an confirmed admission form but i didnt choose them because of their hefty fee and also as this was a better option for me. The admission process of my college for B.Tech course is through JoSSA and CSAB councelling. JEE mains is the entrance exam and most students prefer the IT branch of my college.

Almost all of the faculty members here are highly skilled and experienced ones with most of them having done their pHDs from reputated colleges and also most of them teach quiet well and also provide great help and support in carrer guidence. As far as the course structure and exam system goes they currently follow the NEP and the marking is also done in the same way as prescribed in the NEP ordinance.

NIghtlife is also good with axis to round the clock the night canteens and cafeterias which keep our tummy filled throughout the day at a very reasonable cost. Each hostel has its own nigh canteen which operates from 3PM to 3Am. The library closses around 11 and the gyms and public areas are open and accessable round the clock.
