IIIT Allahabad , an underrated college

The curriculum only contains CS concepts that was one of the reason i chose this college i didnt wanted a irrelavant common course in my first year The curriculum is highly advanced and many ways better than even iits , for instance we were taught MERN stack in webD course which is rare for indian colleges It can improve further by providing more flexibility in courses chosen by students Exam is moderate .

Nearly every company visit like google , microsoft , amazon And offer stipend that they offer in any other tier 1 college I am not very much informed about the exact details as i am not in third year

Student become eligible for placement from 7th semester Hundreds of companies visit with even more offers made every year Highest package was about 1.2 cr with average being 31 lakhs Nearly all students were placed My plan is to get placement and work as a SWE

My yearly fees is about 100000 for sem fees The mess fees is about 25 k per sem The fees sem fees for sc /st is nill while for other category is the same Everyone has to pay the hostel mess fees 3. All govt schemes are available , also meric cum means scholarship is provided to top 2 percent of the students on campus

There are three fest each year 1. effervescence the cultural fest 2. Aproksha the tech fest 3. Asmita the sports fest Books are easily availbale and you can issue them for months at a time Projector in every calss room the sport scenario is decent with nearly all basic facilities availbale Many cultural as well as technical clubs are active For example virtuosy for singing and geekhaven for coding

We have every basic amenities also including gym , water , geyser , table chair and bed Mess food is okayish , not very bad , not very good hostels are fairly affordable with around 25 k per sem including mess

This college was my first choice in jossa , as my advanced didntt go very well . I chose this one because of higher placement and better curriculum than other NITs in the same league. The admission process is through JEE mains only

Faculties are easily approachable I dont want to take any names exams are generally moderate with about 4 every semeseter we have quizes before mid sem then after them too then atlast we have end sems

The life around campus is limited The area is far away from city centre , some restaurant and cafes are nearby but for main ones you have to travel 10 km to civil lines hostel timings are 10:30 for girls and 12 for boys its not very safe to roam outside the campus
