The curriculum made here is mostly based on the real time applications of the theory present in the textbooks and every theory is looked at in the labs during the afternoon session where theirs real time applications are being explained. There are some areas which needs to be improved that is some subjects does not have practical labs which needs to be improved . There are only 2 exam in a semester and frequency is there is a gap of 2 months between mid semester examination and end semester examination, the level of examination is moderate to difficult, If you have attended the classes the exam level will be easy to moderate.

We can start looking for internship right after completing our first semester in college there is training and placements cell which will assist you in getting internships based on what your interest are. Most MNC s offer internships after conducting a test followed by group discussion and an interview which if qualified will pay according to the requirement of the company and most of the companies give you free 5 star accommodation and food where if you will perform very good those companies will give you pre placement offers after conducting interview. Here there are almost every resource available for any projects you have, you can come up with any new idea or startup which when presented by you if accepted will be funded by college and 2 professors will be allocated to you to guide you in difficulties. Make us of the resources and step into a bright future.

Placements are the best things in this college there is 100% placements for the students who are eligible for the placements. From the final year of the college i.e 7 th semester you are eligible to sit for the campus interviews but the prerequisite is that you should have atleast 6.0 CGPA. Highest package offered is around 50 LPA and average package offered is 9 LPA . Most of the reputed companies like HPCL, BPCL, ONGC, BEL , almost all of the maharatna companies and navaratna companies visit campus and offer jobs, Also there are many software companies like IBM, OPTUM UHG, TCS, INFOSYS, CAPGEMINI ETC visit and offer jobs. Students should have done atleast 3 internships before sitting for the placements. Most of the students get selected in campus placements rest plan to pursue higher studies like MBA, MSC etc from reputed institutes.

Fees paid per sem is around 60000(including tuition fees) and there is one time admission fees of 5000 , caution fees of 10000 one time at the time of admission. Students with reservation are exempted from tuition fees and their sem fees is around 15000 Reserved students gets scholarship on the basis of merit from NSP There is also scholarship for non reserved students on the basis of merit

There a two fests that are conducted annually they are TECONSIS which is a technical fest in the odd semester of the year where there are many tech maniac students participate in competitions like coding, robo wars, online gaming competitions etc, Secondly there is biggest cultural fest in North East institutes named INCANDESCENCE held during the even semester of the year. In this cultural fest there will be DJ NIGHT, modelling, ramp walk, dance competition etc are held where we can see people also coming from different IITs and NITs . The library here is named after Dr A P J Abdul kalam sir which is biggest library in the Asian institutes which is available with vast resources round the clock. Apart from that there are almost every individual clubs and societies in the college where auditions are held for the students who are interested to join in.

There are 13 hostels present in the campus most of the students opt to stay in hostels and will be allotted hostels , In the first year of the college 2 students will be getting one room and do not have attached bathrooms there will be 2 beds , 2 chairs and tables and 1 fan , wardrobe for each individually 24 hrs power supply and water supply and also geysers are present in the bathroom. Coming to the meal quality food here is good for the people of north but South Indian people needs to adjust as there will be no salt and pepper in any item and they add potatoes in almost every curry Good thing is weekly 6 days non veg meals will be given along with veg meals. If you are not interested to stay in college hostels you can rent a room nearby where you have to cook your own food and rent is cheaper than many other big cities note that outside campus there are no pg available in the locality nearby.

As of the rank I got in my jee mains examination I could secure seat in good colleges in the south, based on my rank and the placements of the college I chose Nit silchar. If I were gone to long term I could have got a good rank in jee and would have choosen a better college but cracking one of the most difficult examination of india is not a joke that too in the first attempt.

The faculty here are very good at their respective subject , the good thing about the faculty is that they are ready to assist you at any time of the day or night, their expertise in the subject made me reach this level where in my job the skills they have taught is being very useful now. Faculty to students ration is 1 faculty is there for every 10 students and are very friendly. Most of the students managed to pass the examination conducted because of the teaching of the faculty they made us to understand what the subject is and how to deal with the problem based on real time examples.

Most of the questions of GD are based current situation of the country and major burning issues of the nation and something trending at that particular time for example at the time of COVID most of the GD were based on corona virus , we have to answer those questions from our point of view and suggest some point to overcome these type of crisis situation and most important thing in GD is we should be the first one to start and conclude the GD so the interview panel will notice us and shortlist us for next round. The aptitude test pattern is related to the domain which we are appearing for for CSE students questions related to coding, ethical hacking are asked , Coming to interview most of the questions are asked to check your presence of mind , and handling situation in tough conditions one thing is never lose your calm and composure during interview. If you are good enough at the subjects taught by your professors then no need to prepare anything extra.

There are classes on upto 4 pm in the campus after that people like to develop skills like dance , music, gyms based on their personal interest. Here in campus there are around 13 hostels with their respective canteens in which everything is available and there is no need to visit town for every small need. If anyone need to go to the city there will be buses of campus going in and out for every 2 hours based on requirement upto 10 pm. Coming to the night life here we can go out on night rides on bikes where scenery of night landscape is very fascinating campus is covered with tee plantations from every side which gives us piece of mind due to the nature and almost 12 lakes are there in the campus which makes the inside campus scenery more beautiful than the outside one. Girls hostels will be closed by 10 pm and there is no restriction on boys hostel and campus gate closes at 10 pm later also we can go out with proper permission from respective wardens of the hostels.
