Course Curriculum Overview

3

My course is multi disciplinary course which allows me to study botany, zoology and chemistry together. Studying these three gives me a wider and broader choice for future opportunities. Although there is a hustle is keeping up with these three as there is a lot in each one, the files ,assignments and tests and report. The curriculum of one subject can be interlinked with each other while at some completely different. We have lab classes but there is not much learn for application in the real world. Some new technique are do there but the number is really less. The curriculum is mostly an extension of what we have studied in class 11 and 12 with some new ones there as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee paid by us per sem is aprox. 16,115 so the total cost is around 32, 230. It does not increase. We have programs like freeship programs whose forms are out during a particular time of the year and the students with low annual income can get a freeship. There are some competitions organised as well that have cash prizes.

Campus Life

3

As i said it is not happeing all through the year but during festivals like holi, diwali , navratri and christmas the college is a site to behold. It bustles with so much energy. The garba night, diwali mela and christmas dj with annual mela are events which speak volumes about the college. There are around 13 clubs or society ranging from dance, music drama to social work of nss and the fashion society like galore. There are games like basketball, volleyball, badminton, chess and ncc camps too in the college. The teachers are experienced and take training every morning before classes and the students do get to go out into the competitions. If you are part of any club or society then you should know to balance these two as it can become tedious.

Admission

No, i didn't apply to any other college. My first choice was maitreyi and course also life science. I liked the location and the academic perspective of the college hence, i opted for it. The admission in this college is via the cuet exam and the cutoff is less than the north campus college. Although it is not happening as the north ones but the focus is same . there is no additional exams or interviews for the admission.

Faculty

2

The faculty are of various kinds. Some are friendly while some are strict with students and deadlines. Some are approchable while some do not. The temporary teachers are most easy ones to talk too while the permanent ones are not so much to like. Some teachers provide material to study while some tell us to find our own. Exams occur timely and are moderate level. Most students clear it.

Night Life

4

The college is in an embassy area so there are no shops aur cafe nearby but satya niketan just little far away houses all these in abundance that at one point you will get exhausted from even hearing its name. The metro is on walking distance and the nearby stations like sarojini, lajpat dilli hat ina are the places where you can go to umwind the day. There is a cafeteria in the college but no gym in the hostel. The area is safe to roam at night seeing an guarded embassy area

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the BSc Statistics (H) offered by Sri Venkateshwara College has been quite relevant and comprehensive in content. The core courses such as probability, inference, regression, and econometrics were the major reasons for opting for the subject of statistics. It provides us in-depth analytical training that is necessary for higher education and work in the field of data, though there is a need for exposure to software/tools as well. The semester-wise examination, which is moderately tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. Practical components help in developing and understanding concepts more clearly. However, real world applications is limited. Curriculum prepare students well for further academics for PG or other competitive exams. Exam system is conducted at regular intervals with Internal assessment and semester end. Timings are appropriate . Difficulty level is moderate to high.

Hindu College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)
Reviewed on Jan 6, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

For B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics at Hindu College, the curriculum follows the latest DU UGCF?2022 structure, so it covers both strong theory and some modern applications. The main reason to choose this course is the depth in core areas like Calculus, Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability, which builds a very solid base for higher studies like M.Sc, data science or research. There are six semesters with continuous internal assessment plus end?semester exams, so students study regularly instead of only before finals. Exams are usually moderate to difficult because questions are concept?based, but the pattern is fair and gives weightage to assignments, tutorials and attendance. Overall, the course is quite comprehensive and relevant for careers in teaching, analytics, government exams and higher academics, though adding more practical projects, programming and real?life modelling could make it even more industry?oriented
