Likes

The academic environment is disciplined and study oriented which helps students to stay focused on exam and conceptual clarity
Faculty members are knowledgeable and supportive, and most teachers explain concepts clearly with exam oriented guidance
Being a women's college the girls to boys ratio is almost 100:0, insuring a safe and comfortable space for female students

Dislikes

Campus life and social exposure are limited compared to Coed colleges of the university
Campus opportunities are available but limited sole student must rely largely on self effort for career
Infrastructure is functional, But needs modernization especially classrooms and student common areas

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is relevant and concept based which influenced my choice. It builds strong academic fundamentals for higher studies, though more practical exposure is needed. Semester exams are regular and moderately Difficult

Internships Opportunities

Internships come via the university portal and societies with Roles in research, Content H and social work. stipends are limited. Tasks include surveys, reports, Event support , building practical exposure

Fees and Financial Aid

At Maitreyi College, Yearly UG Fees are low approximately 15,000 to 22,000 including tuition fees, admission, registration, development and welfare charges; Fees have slightly increased due to Delhi Universities Fund hike stop scholarships include DU Merit cum need and SC/STL/EWS.

Campus Life

Campus life is calm yet engaging with cultural fest is usually held against February and March. The library has sufficient books and journals for the courses. Classrooms are basic with limited tech support. Sports, societies, and student run clubs offer decent extra Curricular activities exposure and peer interaction

Admission

I chose Maitreyi College for its academic focus, safety as a women's college, And the reputation. I applied two other colleges but missed higher cut offs. Admissions is CUET , merit based smooth and transparent

Faculty

Faculty student ratio is balanced and teachers are approachable. Faculty quality is overall good no specific favorites. Exams are semester based, moderately difficult Common low failure rate curriculum is relevant and concept focused.

Interview Experience

Admissions at maitreyi college did not invoice group discussions interview or written test selection was purely CUET (common university entrance test) based with cut offs. Mainly focused on CUET syllabus and score optimization.

Night Life

Nightlife is limited. Campus, Library, Gym and cafeteria close by evening And no late night access. Hostels have restricted timings. Students unwind by nearby cafes and markets and the locality is gently safe but quiet at night

The companies which comes to college are Kpmg, dillote, Ey, bain and company etc. The average package is around 9 lakh and the highest package is 36.5 lakh.

Placement Experience:

Students of 3rd semester become eligible for campus placements. Companies like pwc, EY, deloitte has visited our campus and offered packages according to the competency of student. 35-40% people do get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to move abroad and pursue ACCA.

Hansraj college- A blessing

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is really relevant and comprehensive. For eg in bcom we study business law, company law, Human Resources management, marketing, financial and corporate accounting, finance, busines maths, stats, income tax, cost accounting, economics as ge so all these are really great well structureda and do have real life practical applications therefore i think my course is really very well aligned and comprehensive in terms of the business world.

I have applied to aryabhatta College before Maitreyi College for Women. So comparison to this college Maitreyi colleges stands out on various aspects:- Before 2024 the admission process is entirely dependent on merit list and the cutoffs. But from 2024 the admission process changed and now Cuet Exam is mandatory. A valid score of cuet and 12 th class is required.
