Course Curriculum Overview

5

I want to pursue my degree in history or political but want to in touch with both the subject so choose ba program his+pol so i am always in touch of my both fav subject thats why i am here I dont think there any area for improvement but i think one is that the teacher can also try us to teach in very excited way so we also learn from them

Fees and Financial Aid

My college fees is 23930 for 1 year and they also charge examination form fees for every subject and practical fee other than this no other feeincomes below Rs. 6-8 lakhs per year. Additionally, students with a JEE Mains rank of 1000 or above receive a 100% tuition fee waiver. The fee structure is subject to change.

Campus Life

5

My experience at Shyam Lal College has been incredibly enriching. The campus, though not sprawling, is well-maintained and equipped with essential facilities like a library, canteen, and sports grounds. The vibrant student community fosters a sense of belonging, and various clubs and societies cater to diverse interests.

Admission

I chose Shyam Lal College primarily due to its strong academic reputation within the University of Delhi. It offers a diverse range of courses, experienced faculty, and a vibrant campus and vibe The process of getting admission is thoroug csas portal and cuet exam

Faculty

4

Faculty members are so good and cooperative they teach us very well but some admin office teachers are very aggressive and they don't help you every time you reach them they give horribly reaction and answers one them is bunty sir admin office he is very aggressive and not hear one single talk of students , exams are not so hard but some of them are challenging

Night Life

5

The immediate vicinity of Shyam Lal College doesn't offer a bustling nightlife scene. However, the college is well-connected to areas like Laxmi Nagar and Preet Vihar, which have a variety of dining and entertainment options. These areas offer a range of cafes, restaurants, and bars that cater to different tastes and budgets. While there aren't any high-end nightclubs or pubs in the immediate vicinity, students often explore nearby areas or organize their own social gatherings and events on campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Economics is one such course which I feel complements every other discipline and since it talks about human behaviour, so it also teaches us a lot about the real world. The timing of exams can be changed by delaying exams by some time so that we get enough time for preparation. Also, the vacations are very less due to which people from far away cannot go to their homes.

Placement Experience:

placement and internship fares are regularly conducted on campus where various companies which are mostly start-ups visit to recruit students for internships and entry level roles. Students become eligible for internships from the first year itself. placement opportunities are generally available after the completion of the full degree and only final year. Students are eligible to apply for full-time rules. last during our last internship and placement fair over 20 companies visited and recruited almost 150 candidates. There are no separate records distinguishing internship from placement. The highest package reported for economics honours is around 12 lakhs per annum and the average package is approximately five lakhs per annum. As per my future plans,I intend to pursue a masters degree after completing my undergraduate course.

For USME, FMCG and Financial companies are the ones which are put in place. The only reason is that those are the companies where we can add value and placements of both courses of USME happens together and combined if I say around 75% students are placed. My plan though is to join GIPE after my graduation ends this year.

DTU because East campus is more known for USME placements revolve around us. Now core companies of our sectors are the ones that deals with finance, insurance or stocks. So nearly 20-30 companies of that space or sector hires over 100 students of BAE every year.

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.
