- The faculty is the college is very supportive . Whenever we inquire any problem they are right by our side and guide as so much
- The department conducts various add on courses during each year which really helps us to get updated on the current trends .rather than studying what is there in the syllabus they focus on updating us with the latest technology as well
- Various talks and programmes as organised in the college to bridge the gap between what company wants and what skills we as a student lacks .Talks are conducted by various professional who are currently in a reputed position at various companies
Dislikes
- Comparing with other colleges , our college is focused only on academic side ,even thought they conduct activities participating in the activities is only motivated by some .It is more of a academic motivated campus .
- The fees is more compared to others as well for each programs conducted by college we had to pay extra money
- They campus is very less and is very strict as well .We are trained to be in a professional manner which is a very good thing
Course Curriculum Overview
The IMCA curriculum has pros and cons .The updated syllabus is quite good we have papers like AI , data science which is the overall trend now but it may change .it also has may courses which is of no current relevance now as it has been replaced so in a nutsell it is a mix of new technology as well as unwanted old technology papers as well
Fees and Financial Aid
For my course Intergrated MCA for the first sem we had to pay almost 49,000 of which 15000 was caution deposit while in 2nd sem we had to pay 36000 and in third sem is was 38000 .As you can observe the fees goes on increasing each sem because of new rules imposed by mg university .for admission we did have to pay an admission fees of 500 rupees as well .For external programs conducted in collected separate amount has to be paid as well .In the above mentioned fees the university exam fees is not included
Campus Life
The infrastructure provied is very good but in terms of activities the college is lacking behind .The students who got admission in IMCA is not motivated to join even in Ncc or Nss .since we are IMCA the activities provided is very less and we are more academic focused
Admission
The only college under MG university which provied IMCA was Scms and De paul .Since scms is a well established and reputed college there was no second thought of joining the college . By their website I applied to the college and once they have gone through the profile a call was received with the message of being selected .After that we had to visit the college to submit our 10th and 12th college certificates and other details .Then the inauguration info was shared
Faculty
There is almost more than 20 faculty for the department itself all of them are very supportive and guide us through out .The university exams are conducted by MG .For imca the sem exams are quite lag but they are streamlining the exams .during a sem there would be 2 exams internally 1.internal examination which would be of 45 .The question papers are made by faculty itself .It would be after the completion of the 2 1/2 modules 2.Model examination -It would be of 75 marks which would be after the completion of all the 5 modules .for internals two exams are conducted in day and for the model 1/2 day gap is given for a subject .This questions are also set by the respective faculties itself Comprising these two internals will be the internal marks provided to the university .
