SSTM,A thought

This course is more like a dual degree,which specifies it is double main degree which have equal importance in molecular biology and Genetic Engineering.I specificaly liked molecular biology so I choosed this but also speaking this course is very good. The curriculum give complete freedom to students that it give real world hands on training in different laboratory practices and techniques and also have chances for presentations and other academic activities. To improve new and modern instruments could be highly used,the instruments currently uses are bit old .

In our college internship opportunities are vast. Including new and established companies such as Wipro,Banking instituteions etc. There are many projects especially in department of Biotechnology, department have several patents and innovations in field of Molecular biology,There is a specific research in coconut biofuels etc.

As of now I am currently pursuing course but it is mentioned as placements offers will be provided in end of final semester.Also old students who passed the course or from my college has great placement opportunities from different and vast companies in india and abroad. Comparatively 50% of students are getting placed. My plan is to pursui PhD after the degree.For that this faculty and this environment will surely help me.

The complete tution fees for one year is 1 lakhs for this specific course,and during the time of admission other additional fees like 10000 for caution deposit,Lab fees of 500 , Identity Card amount of 50? etc.Altogether during my admission time I paid 115000. The fee is actually year wise ,one lakh per year but we have option to pay 50000 SEM wise. My batchmates also have same amount.Some of them have additional fees of hostel. There are certain government scholarships are provided but importantly the college management have their own scholarship schemes and financial aid is also provided for students who have any financial crisis or other problems. The fees which is kind accurate as the course is very complicated with highly controlled lab environments are used with most modern instruments etc.The total fee for the course both year combined will be 215000 with the caution fund will be refunded. During any other specific occasions some amount of fee will be deducted but mostly all celebrations and events are organised by college union and management.

The overall experience is very good.The exposure,the atmosphere on the college everything is very good and Beautiful. Certain events ,college day ,arts day, specific department events and college have students and teacher associations which plans and organize events.There are food fests,Sports days, Campaigns,Awareness classes etc have taking in campus very seriously To give an overview the student extra curricular activities and events are overall outstanding. There are also student running clubs ,such as Food club,Nature club , Students association,IQAC groups etc.

I have actually 3 colleges in the list of confirmation. I choosed this because of the course. But the exposure and the building which also attracted me. It have a vast campus and very good atmosphere.The laboratories are air conditioned ,the classrooms are modern and have digitised.some of the college's I applied didn't have such facilities. I didn't get any rejection from any colleges.myself I choosed this college. The admission process is according to university criteria ,you must have 55% marks in UG degree and there is relaxation for students in specific categories. The admission procedure is also not complicated,you must have all documents then it is a easy process.

The faculties are immensely talented ,each and every faculties have PhD and have great knowledge in their respective field. The faculty student ratio is also good ,There are mentors for each students and we can have mentor student interaction for any problems,and our class teachers are also helping. Faculties are also helping in improving students skills and also helping to be socially committed and have good life style. The course structure lies in four semesters in two years and have a dissertation in last SEM.The examinations are carried out under leadership of Mahatma Gandhi University exams are good,All Student in the department have cleared our last examination. THE course curriculum is more relevant it has wider exploration in molecular biology, Genetics, Biophysics, Immunology, oncology etc.
