Course Curriculum Overview

Well we would rate the course curriculum average because there are few things to notice about we don't have any big sports ground and there are many classes everyday they should give some time to make self development

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 83000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

NIT Sikkim fees depends on catagory like SC ,ST doens't have to pay any amount but OBC PWD and General Catagory will have to pay 83000 or it will be increased by year to year plus if you show your parents income less than 1 lakh then you don't have to paid any fees

Overall experience in campus life was good actually totally good because here in hostel you will get to many friends and club of NIT Sikkim are great at all totally excellent experience I would suggest everyone to come here

Admission

Because my jee mains rank was good so in counciling I got this college NIT Sikkim but the placements are not that good from few years I think because of recession period the placements are not good in this

The faculty are good overall even Students are less here so faculty pay attention for every student and they teachs good knowledge about real life technology but every year there are some students who get year back like 5 to 10 in the strength of 140

A Brief Journey about my College Life

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem students become eligible for campus placement more than 100 companies visited in my year but around 90 students didn't get placed and many students who got job offers the didnt recevied joining letter from companies like dxc Bangalore and Titan Highest package was off campus which was 24 Lpa one students got placed in Samsung and one student on Campus got 16LPA in Nomura

Placement Experience:

Placement is all about your preparation as opportunities come too much but if you have power then crack that one. Highest was going in 2024 batch is 44 lpa and 66 percent was placed as there are recession going on this time due to covid all market crases.

Placement Experience:

Yeah replacement system I am not family or with this placement in all because had just recently join not just recently it's been like one and half year but also in placement system I am not focusing on that side because you know what I don't rely on this college I just need degree from this college and just want to be independent and search for job business on my own this collage is just waste of time still I am saying this tho I cannot do anything about this because I am already in second year so if I leave this college now I have no other option to do better option to do so I am I am stock in this college you can say and replacement system everything is just fine not so much good not

Placement Experience:

I do not have much idea about this field. If I'm not wrong internships begin from 2nd to 3rd year itself, and placements from 4th year. The avergae package here is around 6 LPA, and the highest package offered is 56 LPA. That'll be all from side.

NIT Sikkim overall review

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from 7th sem and placement was good before but In this 2024 batch it's the worst placement of all time only 58% students got placement with less package because of recession Im looking for a placement and further plan is to work for a company

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester, the college has on-campus internship options and after during 7th semester, you will be eligible to sit for campus placements. Many companies come for campus placement including IBM, NVIDIA, Deloitte, etc. PLacements for CSE, ECE, and EEE are very good. In 2023 highest placement was from EEE of 44 lakhs from NVIDIA. In Mechanical most of the students get PPO. For Civil, very least options are available. Usually, 80% of students get placed every year.

Placement Experience:

Companies offer various packages to deserving candidates which ranges from 30 lakhs to 5 lakhs for CSE students. Approximately 90 percent of CSE students got placed from campus. I will go for the PG program.

Amazing and Wonderful experience

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is quite good in our college. Since it is one of the newly established NITs. We've better companies coming on campus as compared to other NITs that were established alongside us.

You have to take an Entrance exam named JEE Mains and then go for counseling (Josaa or CSAB or preferably both) I got into this college in the second round of CSAB. IJEE mains will be available 3 months before the exam on the JEE mains official website. The questions in this exam is based on PCM of 10+2 level only of the CBSE curriculum After you clear this exam, based on your percentile and preference you will get a college and branch. You have to pay a certain amount to either lock or upgrade your seat. SC/ST students have to pay comparatively low fees and they get a college in the 80-90 percentile also. But if you are a General /OBC candidate, you get a college if you score at least above the 90 percentile. To be part of the college one has to clear JEE exam and must secure a minimum of 65% in 10+2.
