Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum in terms of relevance, I will say it pretty good. We all studied as a Mostly similar subjects, but With also our specialisation subjects too. The difficulty of exam level is much moderate, not so hard, not so easy if you studied in your class, are you crack and get 80 to 90% In the exam

Placement Experience

Placements are pretty good. Big companies came to the campus for the placement programme like Genpact, Accenture, South Indian bank, HCL, Kantar, IDBI bank, And so many companies. They offer pretty good packages

Fees and Financial Aid

The actual fees of UPS for MBA program is 16,00,000 but if you are From Uttarakhand, then you get the scholarship of 33% off In your fees structure. And there is also exam calls UPES MET, Which is like a entrance test, but also provide you the scholarship as you get the marks in that exam

Campus Life

Talking about the clubs that we had in College at the finance Club, marketing club, Cultural, Dance club& And different different clubs are there and they organise Events and every month. Student participate and get rewards and the certifications

Admission

I choose UPS because it it has a name in Uttarakhand. The topmost college in Uttarakhand. And The environment and the infrastructure and the experience I get from There is good and talking about the placement, so they invite very big company for the placement process

Faculty

If you are talking about exam, so in my time, We just have to give our end semester exam, which is weightage of 30% and the rest of the 70%. It's on projects and internals assignments. Overall its pretty good structure of evaluating student.

Talking about the admission criteria, if you are crossing the 60% in all your previous education like 10), 12th and graduation It's good for you for the placement processes Means you are eligible for all the companies to sit in their placement process

The Placements here are decent, 3 out of 4 students are placed here but it solely depends on the student how well versed he/she is throughout the course. Ofcourse the university provides you with ample of opportunities but at the end it's upto the student of well he/she has pushed themselves through it

Placement Experience:

There are placement opportunities at the campus. The Career Service Office puts in lots of efforts to get us internships and placements. They ensure they introduce the skills in us right from Day 1. They are up to date and they have a strealined operation already in place. But their job is to facilitate. Placement is one thing which is always subjective. So it depends on the skillset and delivery of the students. But college is doing their part well.

"What I wish I knew before admission"

Placement Experience:

Just after one year completion of the college students get opportunity to be seated for college placements and companies start coming every second or third week to the campus, but even if they are selected for the company, they were asked to go for job in their last semester or may be after completion of college in some cases. Many companies including Deloitte,KPMG, COPSOL, amd 100 more have come to the college and taken students as per their needs, but each company takes 2 to 8 employees and sometimes they don't take students as they need students according to their preferences for their job role. Highest package has been offered till 21 lakhs to student for finance role in the company and average is around 5 to 8 lakhs of packages are there for students for different streams, most companies provide visited in campus are for marketing where the job role is mostly management trainee where they atleast get 5 lakhs of package plus incentives in their job. College was previously affiliated to other university named UTU(Uttrakhand technical University) so students used to get less percentage, maximum percentages used to around 85 to 90% , and only tier 1 companies used to ask for more than 75%. My plans are clear to get placement from the college as I have invested myself and money to the college so I can get good understanding of the course which helps my career, so I want a good placement in marketing role which will be best for me.

Insights of the college through student eye

Placement Experience:

At the end of end semesters college started to get internship and their are a number of them of every type. Students should choose it of any kind. For placement companies started to come in collage in 3rd semesters and one should apply for placement. Till now many companies were there including 99acers, Arvind fasion, Wipro, Google and so on.

Really awesome college

Remarks:

I had many reasons behind choosing this college, here are a few reasons. Students at the College have access to a variety of resources. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Every student at the college library gets access to e-books at any time. College offers ten boys hostels, three girls hostels, and six married hostels. College features a sports and laboratory facility. It features a nice hospital, gym, and traditional store. The campus boasts a pleasant atmosphere in which to learn. It features lovely gardens, lawns, canteens, and clubs. It has a lot of interesting places to see.

Overall a good management institute.

Placement Experience:

99% of students were placed from my previous batch. The average package was 4.5 LPA. Every student got placed for the SIP. (Summer internship programme) Internship for every stream was provided. After 3rd-semester students become eligible for campus placement.

Distance Learning Arm of UPES

Admission:

I applied for the college by filling in the detailed application form on the official website. I give the CAT exam but since I didn't got good score and I also had to continue my job I opted for a postgraduate diploma program from this university. UPES is a popular University in Uttarakhand and its distance learning arm offers variety of options in the diploma programme. After approval of my application I was asked to complete the admission formalities post which I got the admission in the program.
