Likes

The faculties willing to go out of the way, and try to include industrial and business examples to link what we study in class with the outside world.
The positioning of the college gives it a strategic advantage. It's position right next to Miserapatti, Mussoorie and great Dehradun Cafe culture exploration gives it an advantage for students to seek a bit extra outside the college.
The freedom to work on your own, develop a skillset and deliver. You get ample space if utilised well. Making the most of it is important.

Dislikes

Any student always seeks for higher placements. That's a never ending cycle. But college should keep pushing it as high as it can get from previous years. Which they already are doing.
There can be improvements in third space learning spots. College can utilise the beauty of it's Kandoli campus and provide for more open space reading spots. Students would like that a lot.

Placement Experience:

There are placement opportunities at the campus. The Career Service Office puts in lots of efforts to get us internships and placements. They ensure they introduce the skills in us right from Day 1. They are up to date and they have a strealined operation already in place. But their job is to facilitate. Placement is one thing which is always subjective. So it depends on the skillset and delivery of the students. But college is doing their part well.

UPES MBA REVIEW (pov: a new student so no biases)

Likes

Faculty is very approachable and knowledgeable, unique way of teaching
Good facilities and infrastructure is provided
They encourage students to take lead, many opportunities provided. Personally liked the runway incubator and the campus merch store run by students

Dislikes

The tuition fees needs to be more affordable
Administration is not very helpful, proper communication should be given and students must be able to reach out to admins for any help
According to the fees paid, the return on investment is less

Placement Experience:

The placement rate is around 90%. Students become eligible for campus placements from the start of 3rd semester, although you can get in earlier through summer internship and ppos. Overall average package is around 8 lakh. Top 15% students get 14-17 lakh. Highest package for this year was 33 lakh. Many top companies like Amazon, Adani, EY, PwC, KPMG, Accenture, Adobe, Microsoft, Infosys, BlueDart, Dell, Deloitte, Genpact and more come to the campus. I aim on getting into big 4 consulting firms.

the environment is really sutiable from study
the campus is really aice and welcoming.

the cources they provide are really intersting and are helpfull in personal growth as well as acdimics growth. the exams are a littel dificult but the faculties help a lot for preparation. some cources provide us information about the real world also not just education.

Placement Experience:

Very bad placements. They show that the avg package is around 6-7 lacs but it is not true. The avg package is around 3-4 lacs and it is very bad according to the fees they cahrge from a single student.

The Regretting Decision

The only thing you can like about here is the nature , because everything else is just waste. The faculty, students, culture and place all are trash.

Dislikes

Everything except nature, The culture is all about smoking, vaping and drinking, nothing good, always fights and ragging ,
Neither the faculty is good, nor the students around you.
They dont teach, you need to be dependent on youtube for your exams and all, the only thing they know is to waste your time by giving long and trash assignments.

Placement Experience:

I dont know much about placemnets, but as what ive heard is that its not good, they just reject the students from siiting jn placements except toppers , to show their 100% placement results. Highest package ive heard is 700000(which is shit) After getting a degree im going to find a suitable job..

Life of college Is like a rollercoaster

Likes

food court football field the teachers etc
life is good here but the it is sooo farr from the main city
There are buses that look like public transport buses

Dislikes

the number of people who are in this college
boys are so ill mannered and are up for a fight everytime
smoking drinking and substance abuse near the campus

the placements at an average package of 7.5 lakhs to the highest package of 11 lakhs for the BBA students and 30 to 35,00,000 for MBA, which I think is quite decent comparison to other college it offers a nice environment, which is quite decent than other

The things which I most like in this college is the environment created by the facilities and the staff they are very easy to approach and friendly
For our personal development the college has provided us with some of the internship like AI management and product management
In this the ratio of boy and girl is 2:1

As such their is not anything I dislike about my college
No their is nothing which I dislike about my college

Placement Experience:

As how much I know the students become eligible for campus placement after the 5 semester the company that offent visit are the Bajaj finance tech Mahindra Wipro Deloit and many more the average package a student can get is 450000 percent of the student who are getting placed is more the 80% percent

i liked the locality , like its situated in mountains , surrounded by greenery, in monsoon and autumn the views are best.
i liked college functions a lot , like we had many functions like dholida, djnights , fests where they used to call singers and had dances and other matches too.
overall the classes and faculty wqs great , enjoyed a lot during these 3 years.

Dislikes

i disliked that the parking in Kandoli campus was not sufficient and proper.
there were only 2 cafes inside the college , and one food court thats why had to go outside to eat proper good food.
imo , the placements for Business students wrre not good.

The curriculum was good , it prepares us good or infact really goos for the real world applications , we had few subjects like critical thinking , project management , corporate governance and all which gave us real life things . overall the subjects helped us to develop ourself mentally. i think theres no need of imprpvement in teaching methods , they are good , they are very very engaing , they teach through ppts , give us practical assignments and all. we have two exams , one is midsems and end sems exams , and the exams are also not very difficult.

the infrastructure, big campus with every facilities you could ever want
the parlour, girls get very assistance due to this
the faculty, great for understanding the concepts

Dislikes

the attendance structure is very strict you need to attend classes whatsoever
the attendance is the only issues which makes it hard for us students
the attendance is the only thing i genuinely hate for this college man and the faculty has no softness for it

my course is bba and for it's requirement our college is doung some greay deal for making us employment ready and our course is great too when it comes to load pf studying. exams happen every 2 months i guess and course is quite fine and easy unless you take finance which i took

Why to choose UPES

Likes

The infrastructure and the environment and the facility is they provide.
Interaction with different students of different States and countries

Dislikes

Obviously, the fee structure is too much high

Placements are pretty good. Big companies came to the campus for the placement programme like Genpact, Accenture, South Indian bank, HCL, Kantar, IDBI bank, And so many companies. They offer pretty good packages
