Goa medical college is the only medical college in the state of goa so it gets a lot of attention from the goa university amd gets a ample amount of fund for fest and research.they mainly focus on the academics

Internships Opportunities

There is a mandatory internship after 4.5 years of MBBS which every student has to do in the hospitals associated with college during internship we have became doctors we treat and see patients we work with different department

Fees and Financial Aid

Our semester fee is 66000 and in a year there are 2 semester's so the yearly fees comes out to be 127000 including hostel fees.there are various kind of scholarships available for the student of both all india student and students of goa as well

Campus Life

There is annual fest called plexus in goa medical college where various artists come and perform there are various other colleges competing with each other for various games and task Intersems are the annual sports tournament

Hostel facilities are really nice there is 3 buildings for boys hostel while 2 buildings for girls hostel girls hostel have a in time boys hostel don't have any.mess food isnot so good but the hostels are really affordable

To get into any medical college you have to clear the NEET UG paper then apply for counselling and select goa medical college as your preference after allotment you have to reach the college within few days where your medical will be done and documents will be submitted

Goa medical College reveled

Course Curriculum Overview:

The academics here is really great. They focus much on clinical aspects rather than on non clinical. The SGDs( small group discussion) and SDLs( self Directed learning) are better approachable form to reach students here they make a small group of five students per teacher for the discussion and gives a topic for the discussion. One improvement I will suggest is to use animated videos more in lectures rather than written slides. Frequency and timings of exams are perfectly coordinated (somewhat frequency is more????) that gives a better time and pressure to revise the contents taught.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is cbme based this meets the international standards and students can attampt usmle aslo. The course give u exposure to real world scenarios. The course is good as it is. The exams take place every semester and end of the year finals. Moderately difficult to clear.

I wanted to try for armed forced medical college as I wanted to serve the army along with the medicine and other requirements but was not possible as I couldn't score much in neet and I had to settle for whatever I was getting and I was happy with it.
