- I mostly like about the environment of my college. Specially the beautiful serenity of our college. Meghalaya itself a heaven with full of greenery and our college is not less.Being one of the top university to have a biggest campus in India.
- I like how culturally diverse our college is. We get to celebrate so much diversity together.
- Some of the teachers are enthusiastic to teach you new things. And doesn’t give you so much pressure and gives you time to explore your hobbies.
Dislikes
- Some faculties of department here have very bad management skills and are very rude.
- Some teachers are just there. Gives no effort to teach you new things.
- Placement system is poor. Doesn’t give you so much exposure.
Course Curriculum Overview
Most of the students goes for higher studies after the placement. And the rest of then goes for corporate jobs. Very few starts new startups and some also goes for new professional careers depending upon their hobbies.
Placement Experience
The placement system here needs to improve a lot. Most of the students here are not interested toward job and they goes for higher studies. Thought there are so many students to got good placements in their last year.
Fees and Financial Aid
For B.tech it's somewhere around 30 to 35 k for 1st year amd rest years are also almost same. There are many scholarships available in Nehu. Nehu placement cell is headed by a placement coordinator and there are so many winter internships opportunities are there.
Campus Life
The best thing about Nehu is it's campus life. The campus is so peaceful and welcoming. There are so many opportunities too like for sports , gym and other activities. Students here are so talented and motivated for this reason.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is also okay. Although food is not homely, mostly nonveg. It's become difficult for veg people to survive. Other than that hostel facility is pre decent. Rooms are big enough for 3 person.
Admission
For B.tech you have give JEE and have to take participation in jossaa and CSAB counselling. Moreover there's also nehu counselling happens which also requires Jee scores. You have to have atleast 45% in physics, chemistry and mathematics.
Faculty
Faculty members are overall good. Most of the professors were highly educated. There are some of them were really enthusiastic to teach well.The student to teacher ratio is pretty decent.
