Review about my Campus life

I choose this course because I wanted to learn coding and pursue my dream as a web development. Our department prepare us well for real-world applications by making us doing project and assignments that are related to real world applications for our further future. We are learning how to do static and dynamic projects. They should change some of their teaching method as for labs (partical) and give more explanation on that as some teachers are not that good in explaining a practical part . Theory exams are easy but practical parts is a little difficult sometimes due to the lack of understanding the subject but some are easy.

We can apply for Ishan Uday, NSP and within college it's a merit scholarship for the students with high percentage in their 12 board. The amount of the scholarship depends on the course you are persuing.

Compared to other good colleges the fees are not that high and not that low and ever since I joined I haven't seen and changes in fees structure except for hostel fees . Tuition fees per semester is in even semester it's less however, in odd semester it's more because we need to pay annual fee and tuition fee for new year of academic. As for scholarship, we do have college scholarship but I don't know much , it is based on merit and we also get performance scholarship every odd semester. The total fees for college tuition fees will be 229000 for my whole 3 year course.

We have many programs that are being held in college. We have D'verve between February to March and a technical fest Prajukthum and also Mercmoc in Between September and October. We have different clubs that are all run by the students and some teacher as advisor of the club. As for the library we have journals, magazines we can read and borrow for a specific time and can find many book that are really helpful in academic learning. The extra curricular activities held many compititions among different departments and inter college and also within own department and sports we have different sports club we can join and participate.

Hostel facilities are good and we are provided with cupboard and table chairs of our own there is only two seater in a room for Azara campus. We can use hot water and cold water as we need rooms are also big , good and comfortable. Hostel mess food are not that good not healthy and the quality is also average. First for the registration it's 1000 and security deposit is 5000 which we'll get back after we leave hostel and full fees for whole semester is 33000 but now it's 34000 per semester. First 3 semester I stayed in hostel and now I'm staying in PG just behind the college that is Shanti Path Azara Guwahati.

Addmission process was quite good as for me I have only 48.8 in my 12, though I was list in waiting list I got the addmission as per as I know for ST is 45% but overall they see 50%. After filling for the addmission we have to give personal interview but no entrance exam were taken. We can find the applications and fees structure all in the college website. Their is no reservation system. The interview was not that hard to get its all easy and the interviewer is good.

Our teachers education qualification are all good every faculty is Doctorate degree holder and they are easy to approach and ready to help whenever we need them. Their approach to teaching is good but some new faculty are average as they have less teaching experience. They are willing to teach us again and again if it's needed and takes extra for whoever is needed. We often interact with our teachers as we need to update about our performance and ask for helps.

We normally doesn't have any group discussion or written test for the addmission instead we have only 1 personal interview with one of the faculty member . The questions that were asked during interview was all about the course and some basic math as my course is BCA. They usually see the percentage of 12 final as for criteria. My preparation for interview was just some basic knowledge about computer and math.
