NERIM Admission Dates 2027

NERIM admissions for the 2026 batch have concluded across all programmes. The next cycle for 2027 entry opens at different points across programme types. MBA and PGDM admissions are anchored by CAT 2026, scheduled for November-December 2026, with offers expected between January and June 2027. UG programme admissions for the 2027-28 session open typically in April 2027 following Class 12 board results.

NERIM Courses and Fees

NERIM offers over 15 programmes across management, law, computer science, commerce, and social work. Total fees range from INR 1.15 Lakhs for M.Sc Computer Science to INR 3.75 Lakhs for the MBA. The institution serves aspirants seeking affordable professional education in the Northeast.

The PGDM at NERIM is a standalone programme approved by AICTE and is not affiliated to any university. The MBA is a university-affiliated degree programme under Gauhati University or Dibrugarh University depending on the student’s registered institution within the group.

NERIM Admission Process

NERIM follows a multi-stage admission process. Applicants must submit an online application, fulfil eligibility criteria, and clear an entrance exam or merit threshold depending on the programme. Selection is followed by group discussion, personal interview, and document verification before the final offer letter is issued.

MBA and PGDM Admission

MBA and PGDM are the flagship programmes at NERIM. Eligibility requires a graduation degree with at least 50% marks in any discipline. A valid CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, or NERIM Entrance Test (NET) score is mandatory for these programmes.

Work experience is considered a positive factor during the PI stage but is not mandatory for the regular MBA programme.

UG Programmes Admission

BBA, B.Com, BCA, BA (Psychology), and BSW admissions are merit-based. Eligibility is 10+2 from a recognised board with at least 45% marks in aggregate. Admission is confirmed after verification of board marksheets and basic counselling by the institution.

Law Programmes Admission

BA LLB (Hons.) requires 10+2 with 45% marks. LLB (Hons.) requires a graduation degree with 45%. The Bar Council of India prescribes the eligibility norms and BCI has approved NERIM’s law programmes. A CLAT score may be considered as merit input, but the institution also admits students on direct 10+2 or graduation merit.

PG Programmes Admission

MCA, M.Sc Computer Science, MA Applied Psychology, MSW, and M.Com admissions are based on graduation merit in the relevant discipline. Minimum 50% marks in the qualifying degree is the standard threshold. MCA candidates with a BCA or B.Sc Computer Science background are directly eligible.

NERIM Placements

NERIM placements are driven primarily by the MBA and PGDM programmes. The institution hosts campus placement drives through its placement cell, inviting companies from banking, financial services, FMCG, and retail sectors. More than 500 corporate houses have recruited from NERIM since the institution’s founding.

The 2023 placement season placed 129 students through 28 recruiting companies. The highest offer stood at INR 12 LPA and the average package was INR 7.8 LPA. The 2025 season recorded a highest offer of INR 14 LPA.

Confirmed recruiters from recent seasons include HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Allianz, and Pantaloons. Banking and financial services is the dominant hiring sector, followed by retail and FMCG. The institution has also received recognition from Competition Success Review as one of the promising B-Schools in the Northeast region over multiple years.

NERIM Campus and Infrastructure

NERIM operates its main campus on Tripura Road in the heart of Guwahati, with easy access to the city centre. The campus spans 2 acres and houses multiple academic blocks across its different schools of management, law, computer science, and social work.

Residential facilities include a boys hostel at INR 33,000 per year and the Kadomi Girls Hostel at INR 29,000 per year. Both hostels provide basic amenities and are located in proximity to the main campus. The institution also provides a transportation facility for day scholars.

Academic infrastructure includes dedicated computer labs, a law moot court facility, management seminar rooms, and a central library with digital access. The institution hosts regular management conclaves and industry interaction events as part of its NERIM School of Management activities.
