I applied in a lot of colleges such as presidency, st Xavier's College Kolkata, Lady Brabourne, Loreto , Scottish Church got accepted in scottish, Loreto , brabourne I chose Asutosh because they made me feel comfortable and has the best geography department. I got rejected by presidency i didn't have enough marks. I have applied for Dinabandhu Andrews College and also New Alipore College for mathematics hons and I got selected for both the colleges and I started class in Dinabandhu Andrews College for few days but there the faculty used to talk in Bengali and the faculty members are not really good also the ambience so I applied in Asutosh College and I got selected too over there....so I shifted to Asutosh College, as I always wanted to persue this course from Asutosh College due to there faculty in this subject is really very good. I applied for Bangabashi college, Surendranath college, Vidyasagar college... but Asutosh College was my dream...because it is the best co-ed college for Psychology...that's why everyone who wants to study psychology literally craves for the department..I was also one of them..and I'm really grateful to God for helping me to get into this college. No, I was not rejected from other colleges...This college has been my 1st priority... My college's admission procedure is based on merit. I applied to presidency, st. Xavier's, but as I was from Covid batch, I couldn't meet the required cutoff for those colleges. So yes I got rejection from them. Had I given my ISC board exams, I believe I'd have scored better marks, but hard luck :) I willingly chose this college over the other colleges of Calcutta University, considering this is the best. This college gets numerous applications, so it might be difficult to get the admission, but work upon your merit and connections. There's no entrance. You need to meet their eligibility criteria which keeps get changing, so refer to their website. Your merit will be considered. You must have a good network as well.
